Title: NEW Usual Allocations for Rotala / Diamond Bus
Post by: Adam 404 on December 20, 2016, 08:13:01 AM
Hello everyone,

I have made a new allocation sheet for Rotala / Diamond Bus after how popular the De Courcey & Stagecoach ones have been.

Here is the link to the spreadsheet. Please edit sensibly!

https://1drv.ms/x/s!AuV-OWRD_pekgS0wIsfmt2gqttiL

It includes:
Allocations
PVR's
Links to timetables

Also:
Thanks to @2206 for helping correct some incorrect information yesterday. Many allocations are currently blank as I am unfamiliar of Redditch / Kidderminster.

EDIT - link amended at request of topic-starter

I have just filled in a few for you @Adam404 but the Redditch routes are generally pretty random. I will have a look through some of my photos to see if I can work out any more for Redditch

Kidderminster routes apart from the 25  can be worked by darts or centros or the hybrids .and you have the 192 list as the the 142  which  I have just amended

The 50 does not do Wolverhampton to Wednesbury. It does Wolverhampton to Wednesfield.

354 is run by Kidderminster not Redditch and is regular mpd

69 is run by Tividale not Redditch

Redditch is usually just random more than anything

They do a loop around Coventry City Centre & Rail Station though...
Also, when it passes me, it often says "Fairfax Street" on it.

All routes are now added. I don't know the usual allocation though, as I haven't been to the Black Country since the changes, so someone else could add this information if they wish, as it is editable.

Thanks.

I have just noticed that some absolute idiot has decided to delete most of the data on my spreadsheet. I am not happy about this and from now on, all of my spreadsheets will be only able to be viewed.

It is truly a disgrace that someone would do this.

A new link will be available once I have attempted to recover the information lost.

Not sure if it will get updated, but here are some things that need updating:

- 25 also has Streetlites and Primos on it.
- 29 has Streetlites used on it daily.
- 40 Streetlites are rarely used, E300's are used daily.
- 41/A don't use Centro's. Usually midibuses.
- 54/A have Streetlites and Primo's daily.
- 74/78 should have SLF Dart's as daily.

There is only 1 cadet on the road and I don't believe it has a fixed allocation as do many vehicles at diamond so putting it as usual on so many routes to me is pointless.

As 4194 has said it does spread onto any full-size single Deck route. If you don't agree with me then fine. But whenever I'm in West Brom it's one the first buses I see on the 40.
Anyway the 229 see's any bus so I doubt it's unusual.

Very rare indeed. Suppose it will now be added to the list of vehicles used on 20/21 now because that's how the spreadsheet works apparently. See a bus once on a route and put it as a common type.

What's your point meant to be? Some common sense would be nice!
If I see a Solo on the 4H or the 002 does it mean it's a common type, no.
If 30211 is on the 002 doesn't it's mean it's a common type, no.

Of which is it common to see it on, not routes which are usually midi buses, 20/21 etc.
When 30211 had a rare day on the 16/W didn't mean it was thrown into the common types.

No, he said he thought the 35/a/b was at Tamworth, with the 91A/C Chelmsley Wood Circular also at Tamworth, with the 142 at Kidderminster.

Is the 25 a tendered route with Euro 5 Spec vehicles? Only just popped into my head as it always a Euro 5 Bus.

Also, the 16S goes from Kingsbury, Kingsbury School to Castle Bromwich, Beechcroft Road (Kingsleigh Drive stop) (not Curdsworth to Tamworth).
I've seen the buses used on it in the past all the time as it goes out of service to and from the City Centre via the Washwood Heath Road  and Ward End, The Fox and Goose, to operate the X16 and 16S as they are on the same board (it took the same route back when Tamworth Bus were operating it as well, with the Orange Optare Excel and I used to see that bus daily at the Fox and Goose.)

The allocation from what i've seen just seems to be any ex Central Bus at Tamworth - Optare Versa, Enviro 200, Optare Solo.
Most recently I saw it on a while on a 18XX on the 55 in the PM peak on Tuesday, it was laying over at Jennens Road, Woodcock Street before operating the X16 and it was a lwb Dart (I'm sure thats what I saw though according to the main site Tamworth doesn't have any Darts and they only have E200, Versa and Optare Solo).
It used to get Metrocity when with Central Buses as well.

The 30 seems to now be operated by 20884 and 20982 now, i've seen a Dart get on there for some time now.
The ex Wessex B7RLE at Redditch seem to be on the signature routes (S2, S3, 82, 88, etc) in Solihull on a daily basis now, i've seen loads over the past week or so.
The 28A seems to be largely Solo operated now.

@Adam 404 would it be possible for you to put a key as to what some of the different colors mean. Some like the 31/32 route number colors I get as being the WMB routes but there are whole lines of green, red or yellow with some bits of blue which make little sense.

Many thanks

Hello @IMarkeh,
I have updated the spreadsheet so that it is hopefully a bit more clear. @Solo1 was correct.
Hope that helps 🙂

A1/2 (Solihull) are just Mellor Strata's. The Darts, E200 and Solo can be removed.
30 (Solihull) seems to just be 2 Optare Solo now, the Solo SR (20884) isn't on there anymore.
53 (Stechford) is also just Mellor Strata now, I never seen any Optare Solo on it.

The 229 seems to get whatever is in the depot, be it an E300 or a Strata.

@Adam 404 , I just noticed that your Diamond Usual Allocation spreadsheet is no longer available.

Have you removed it from your OneDrive?

If you still have the data somewhere, would you be interested in sharing it with me? If the data can be stored in a Google Sheet, I can present it on a page on my WMBU website, as well as embed it here for you.
