Title: Tyburn Road site (Palletline)
Post by: monkeyjoe on June 21, 2012, 11:21:06 PM
What was this site back in the day, i don't think it was a depot was it an engineering site?

I just remember it was West Midlands travel era and huge. I think it became "Pallet line" or something like that.

It was the Central Engineering Works where all vehicle overhauls and major unit changes were carried out, also took care of vehicles into and out of the fleet so you could often see new vehicles and disposals there. Fascinating place.

Some refurbs are done there but i think some are done at BC and PB ask Tony he knows about recent refurbs and where they are at plus there is a refurb section.
