I reckon Diamond on the 16 , based on what I don't know. Having said that nxwm don't act as aggressively as they used too back in twm days.

301?
In the 'old days', TWM would've registered extra journeys on the 311, to see off Thandi.
Obviously NX think 'Every 10 mins' combined with the 311 / 313 is adaquate for that route!
I agree with diamond on the 16 which, diamond operate very frequently during the day.
I also think diamond on the 4H would also be another contender.
I know you asked for NXWM, but I'm surmising NXC does take some hit by other operators such as Stagecoach
Thandi on 334 is it really that busy

Nah... NX are Diamond's competition there, the Diamond route West Brom to Halesowen had been going ages

Or, possibly Claribels on the 94?
My heartland route when in brum. A shame they don't operate on Sundays as I still think have better standard of vehicles than nxwm who neglect the corridor, however I always say that lol.
The 71/72 has got to be taking a big hit on the solihull side. Nx got so many buses on there now compared to a few years ago & some of them are running completely empty at times.

Good point must be a least 3 different operators on that section of corridor . Roll on competition. They still give better discounts on the Walsall routes and they 37 though .
AMPM for a short period when they ran a few minutes infront of NX on 900. They carried very good loadings until NX re-timetabled and added short journeys Birmingham - Airport.

Hahaha

No.
I recall Central Connect operating on the 37, and the 97 for that matter. I'm sure NX retaliated with frequency increases. I'm sure that's when they introduced the 37 Day Return. There was also a response from NX on the 6, when AMPM got on there. It was around the same time the route was upgraded to Scanias I believe.
I wouldn't be sure about a particular route, but I'd guess services in West Brom take a significant hit from Diamond competition: ie 42/43, 40, 4, and potentially soon with a 20 mins frequency the 16 competing with the 46 to Hamstead

Seems funny to think about it but yeah it definitely seems that way, what with Diamond being the "original" and NX registering jounrneys on there
16w seems a good idea I thought nxwm were going to extend it when the wb depot ran it for a short while

Arriva are pushing heavily on the Sutton corridor as well lately, that's gotta be denting nx profits.

They still only run 4 times and hour mate. Nx run loads more buses to sutton...
Banga travel on 530 all those years back as they got rid of twm as it was then

The 110 runs every 10 mins at peak times now. Plus they're the reason why nx runs so many buses along that corridor.

And I think we can all guess where a new batch a two tone grey buses might be likely to turn up

Every 15 isn't it? They haven't got enough sapphire buses to cover a 10 min one
Does the 110 really count? It is a very long established route, back to the 1920s at least, I think.

They leave Tamworth (Monday - Friday) at 06:55, 07:05, 07:15, 07:25 and 07:35
14:45, 14:55, 15:05, 15:15 and 15:25 so it is every 10 minutes at certain times of the day.
Plus they leave Birmingham at -
16:10, 16:20, 16:32, 16:42, 16:57 and 17:10

And probably the only successful busy service they operate in the West Midlands

The fact that it serves Tamworth is a handy bonus for Arriva, being a sapphire route may compel NX to further upgrade their buses on route perhaps ?

I guess depending on percentage growth levels experienced, assuming it doesn't plateau, the 110 could have further Sapphire StreetLites moved onto it from 1/2? I reckon speeding up peak journeys could earn them custom as well
Don't see how you could speed up journey times unless you cut out part of the route, then you're missing the very people you're trying to attract.

What an upgrade lol. Seriously though the sapphire conversion & completely screwing the routes up and changing them back and the reduced frequency etc have made the 1 & 2 conversions a failure...Wonder if it happened to any other sapphire routes nationwide? One of the purposes was to grow the routes and increase ridership. What they did to the 1 & 2 really, really achieved that. Lmfao
