Yea but the 297 has looked like its been going for ages, the 246 may well (like most) be the timetable changes. Just because 2 routes are mentioned means nothing.
That's a worry about the 297 going, although it doesn't surprise me. That'll leave a lot of people where I live unable to get to the hospital or the Merry Hill Centre by bus (places that are easy to get to by car - 10 to 15 minutes away). I know a fair few elderly folk who'll feel rather stranded by that - hopefully another route will be amended to compensate.
Some of the changes to Birmingham routes could be to do with the starting of the trams running to Grand Central.

That would be a good idea a lot of passengers who get off the 1 at Five Ways then get on one of the 2* routes into the City Centre. Maybe it could follow the same route as the 22? Maybe it would get more people to use it? Some of the buses i've seen on there can be quite empty at times.

Maybe when Paradise Forum is finished put it back to the town hall as it used to or for now extend it too Livery Street if its feasible of course

The works will mean the only road to "serve" Town Hall, if you will, will be Hill Street - after completion in 2025, so it claims. The former 1 terminus will be replaced by One & Two Chamberlain Square, as well as 'Congreve Square' - an outdoor space. (The works are essentially replacing the Gyratory system, in favour of the two-way system.)

To be honest, I'd have thought something like this would have been done sooner, like ready for when it opened last year! It's a bit of a walk from the train station to get there without a car, so perhaps comments have been raised regarding the lack of direct public transport access.

The 3 varients are on the same registration, so will appear on the registration, regardless of which variation changes.

I suppose it was inevitable that the 1 would be reduced on a Sunday to half-hourly. Only two buses needed all day now, running costs reduced by a third (approx!).
Doesn't bother me now, as I don't use the service any more. Shall I start a petition anyway? ;)
