Today I've seen two diamond vehicles both off route.
One was a 16 instead of using Hockley Circus, decided to use the Flyover There.
A second one I saw was a 81 going via Pedmore Road instead of the route via Level Street and the cinema at Merry hill.
Quite often I've seen Diamond 226s use High Oak instead of the route via Bradley street and seen a couple miss out the estates between Wordsley and Brierley Hill.
Is this not a licence breach?
It would depend on reason for the curtailment/diversion and whether this had been appropriately reported and documented, i.e. via the Traffic Office with lost mileage or similar.
If a complaint had been raised or if DVSA had monitored and the above was not present, then there would be an issue.

Sorry but I'm calling a spade a spade and a shovel a shovel. I would say the same if it was NXWM, GRS or even Arriva!

I agree. This is all speculation and observation, no facts and reasons as to why each bus went the way they did. I have been on plenty of buses that have diverted off their route and every time it has been down to RTCs, roadworks and a few times driver error. If there are serious problems as you seem determined to prove the appropriate authorities will investigate and take necessary action, surely. Its getting rather tiresome to read constant posts on the Rotala thread that this bus was 5 minutes late and that bus design is horrible etc.
Surely if someone wishes to get Diamond in trouble which seems the case they would be better reporting incidents to the authorities rather than posting every detail here?

So deliberately avoiding parts of the route on the 226 yet the Hansons near enough behind is running NLR is acceptable?
I would ask the same questions if Arriva, NXWM, or even another company were to do it.
Furthermore diamond don't do anything with complaints except say the usual corporate lines (and trust me, I know what they mean working in Local government you learn how to say the opposite of what you mean in a letter!)

This thread is another dig at diamond, and is getting boring, just because the 226 is always late
@the trainbasher has backed up his points with examples, so no problem with what's been posted to date. If it starts another argument, the thread will be locked & those involved will be taking a holiday from the forum

Curious one that, even in heavy traffic around the circus itself I've never seen a 16 (or indeed 74/75 & 78/79 from back in the day) take a short cut, quite a lot of people use that stop.
Hasten to add, that includes Diamond, before anyone suggests bias

08:44 was operated by 30407; a Volvo B7RLE.
18.15 from Halesowen (last 4H of the day) was operated by 20167; a 226 branded Wright Streetlite. Did you catch the 18.15 bus?
The four buses on the 4H yesterday were
20165
20167
30407
30413 (later replaced by 30410)
20165/167 are both branded for the 226.

I have honestly never seen one on it I don't doubt your records I use it every Sunday but have never seen one so can't it agree its always 226 ones that all.

20161
20164
All 3 are 226 branded.

The previous Sunday I used the 14 which I rarely do as a mate was getting on to do lane swimming with me at the stop in Kent Road so cannot comment and also returned on the 14 but that is a rare occurrence

From when they first came on service around this time last year I have had about half a dozen Mellors or so on a Sunday, they are more common on Late Saturday Afternoons and early evenings to be fair got one to Halesowen just after 7pm from Blackheath to Halesowen a week last Saturday. It certainly not false information have just got back home on a regular B7 4H I use it 7 days a week when I am on holiday, at weekends & evenings when I am not, will be on it again tonight after 7pm on the 4H Oldbury short. No its Ok Winston, I have been called a lot worse and @Trident 4194 is entitled to his opinion it seems I get posters to engage although that is not my intention so much, it would appear I have a different perception to others with the 4H as with previous topics unfortunately. I too live on the route and will be using it for the second time after 7pm I only hope @Trident 4194 also uses its as regularly in order to maintain the commercial viability when competing about NXWM. Do you ever stop moaning? X8 and now 4H, will you start whinging about the entirety of Blackheath's services or the entirety of the Black Country's buses?
Well the answer is yes
@Jack last nights 19:26 4H From Gorsty Hill To Oldbury was as ever an excellent example of the high standards DIAMOND BUS operate compered to the other hopelessly incompetent bus operator on the route that fails to serve Blackheath sucessfully in any form what so ever the idiots that run the rival company so laughably should look at the excellent route management, operations and vechicle standards of Diamond Bus and learn from it on how to operate a proper bus service. In reply.to your question have I no moans about DIAMOND BUS 4H or 231

At least the buses on the NX 4H don't breakdown as much as the Diamond 4H and that the buses aren't mainly stuck in limp mode.

Sorry
@Jack have been doing my lane swimming after getting the faultless Diamond 4H after 7pm just turned my phone back on so your telling me that in the last few years there is a some kind of problem with Diamond Bus with me being on 6 Diamond Buses invovlved in crashes and fires where the operator has always acted in the most professional manner in such unfortunate circumstances I doubt NXWM would act in the same manner so your point about the hopeless unreliable cowboy operator that is NXWM on the 4H is what exactly?

But how are NX a 'cowboy'? And I presume you've only ridden Tividale buses anyway, which are ok (not great), compared to the likes of Redditch and Kidderminster depots. NX don't put out buses that are stuck in limp mode 24/7. A countless number of times now I've used the 4H branded B7RLE's and they struggle on the Walsall Road hill by Tame Bridge, which is hardly even steep. If it was a hill like Gorsty Hill or Powke Lane I'd understand... shows the terrible maintenance. NX's B7RLE's quite easily best Diamond's on the hill by Tame Bridge.

Simon has made his engineers ensure that all buses can go fairly fast now, don't ride any in limp mode anymore. 30412 went from the worst to best b7rle now i think
20167 (226) - 74
30412 (4/4H) - 40
Lots of diamonds off route it seems. 30926 on 4H

Peak extra
32217 (West Midlands Bus 32 branded) and 32318 (4H) both on 27/27A. 32217 later went on 17s.
32217 is based in redditch in 2 tone blue?
32217 is based at redditch and in two tone blue and 32318 is branded for the 16 not the 4H

Sorry I meant 32317.
Diamond Bus are not following the correct 61 route in West Bromwich on all journeys. This is the THIRD day this has occurred so I can think that one of the drivers doesn't know about the route change which seems ridiculous.
20167 (226 branded) is currently on the 27
32320 (16 branded) is on the 27/27A
16 branded appear on anything except the 16 these days

I am led to believe they are all eventually being debranded seeing as it's no longer just the 16 anymore and now the 16A the branding is sort of defunct also in any case it looks extremely untidy these days i.e. with some or all of the branding missing on some of those 16 buses!!
It's because Diamond have the branding applied to the vehicle(s) in house by the engineers they don't have a quality job done like National Express do with Mobile Signs (because higher management are too tight to pay for it!) I will use the 82/87 Dudley Road branded Plantinum's they've had that branding on them since 2019 and it's still in perfect condition so it kind of speaks for itself you want a quality finish get the professionals in you want a bodge job let the engineers do it....
I sort of posted in this thread for a bit of fun ,so, unless my eyes were playing tricks . Did I see a Diamond Streetdeck heading south on a low loader lorry on the M5 earlier today ?? I know that bus enthusiasts are everywhere so hopefully someone can confirm or not. Cheers all.
My other Wb based sister has just rang.

it's not the first time a 4 or 4H has ended up going down that road and it won't be the last either!
32130, the 40 branded VDL is out on the 50 today.
