Title: 'Staff Buses'
Post by: Westy on September 20, 2014, 09:31:46 PM
Does anyone actually see these out & about?

I normally see the Walsall one between 630am & 645am coming up Bloxwich Road in Leamore towards the depot some mornings during my commute, normally an Omnilink!

I saw an Acocks Green one early one morning (I think somewhere on the 11 route). And a Central one on the Kingstanding Road. Both on B7RLEs

The Wolverhampton one is also a B7RLE, usually on bilston street island on the ringroad around 6:40am

I think BC's one are usually B7RLEs or sometimes E200s... Seen one sometime last week I think, a B7 on Colmore Row.

In Coventry I have seen it a few times and it is usually always an unbranded B7RLE.

They regularly use the 6 branded B7RLE's

Pensnett More often E20 branded 99

I highly doubt that as they are BC buses.

I've sometimes seen E200 Pensnett staff buses on a Sunday

Oh? I didn't realise that all of 801 - 807 inclusive was transfered to PE, along with the 99 route? /Sarcasm

I'm back on the bus scene after many years off it. The 1980's were my era. I spend my time now with the old stuff. I enjoy what I do and will help anyone with any info and realise accuracy is important. So I miss quoted and will still confirm a staff bus runs up Hagley Rd, as a train driver I see this often on my early shift. When I see it again I will quote numbers, in the mean time please educate fellow enthusiasts, not use sarcastic comments. Non of us knows everything!

1707,

I understand where you are coming from, but if you have any doubt on what you are considering posting due to your absence from the bus scene, you would only need to double check Tony's NXWM fleetlist located on the main site, that would have shown that the 99 branded E200's are allocated to BC (even without a fleet number).

1707,

If you need to querying anything or have any questions, send me a private message & I'll point you in the right dirrection.

Unfortunately, the forum is very patient with new members, you have the minority of past new members to blame for that, that insist of flooding the forum with messages / ask question after question as they can't be bother to search Google or refer to Tony' fleetlists and constantly post crap. Then after being banned, they try & get back on under different aliases......

Think our staff bus at Pensnett goes as far as quinton so Hagley road might be a wb bus

I remember on a visit to West Bromwich garage during my training, that their staff buses follow a set route, however at Birmingham Central, it's request the bus to pick you up with at least 45 minutes before you book on.

I saw a BC one in February (while on the BC 9), had just passed Beech Lanes Cross towards Quinton. It was an unbranded E200 (from memory I thought it was a branded one but my note says otherwise).

Furthest is

Quinton Church
Penn Road/Goldthorn Hill
Tipton/princess end

It has been known to go further at times.

I often used to see a 99-branded E200 on Camp Hill (heading away from city towards the ring road island) on Saturday mornings around 8:20 displaying Staff Bus.

Oddly one morning, there was one showing 'Staff Bus - Perry Barr Garage"

BC staff buses also do two loops of the city centre in the morning to pick up any stragglers. I think the times are 0530 & 0630.

To be perfectly honest, I thought 1707 was Christopher in a different dress again.

Apologies 1707, if I knew you were genuine I would've bakes you a cake.

Walsall one spotted picking up a driver at Green Lane Leamore Lane (Old Red Lion Inn fare stage!) around 630am this morning.
