I wonder if any extra 79s will be laid on so people travelling between West Brom and Wolves won't have to chop and change, somehow doubt it.

Oh well, I hate the tram anyway ;D. I expect the Metro Replacement service frequency will be higher than every 30 minutes

Yeah but that'll only be running to Priestfield won't it? (I remember the last time I caught a metro replacement bus it was a short length Excel to Priestfied) Chances are people who live along the route would sooner just catch the 79 than have to switch from bus to tram but the poor frequency would put them off :P

I don't know exactly when the trams stop going to Wolverhampton. But trams will still operate from Snow Hill to Priestfield. It looks like there will be replacement buses (and normal service buses like WA 39, WN 79) people can get on from Priestfield to Wolverhampton (and reverse). :)

I was told in the Centro office at New Street Station that the closure of the line From Priestfield to St Georges had been put off until the Birmingham tunnels reopen. This seems to be sensible.

But obviously foreseeable, as I stated back in March...

According to an article on the Centro website, the stretch of track running in the carriageway along the A41 will be replaced during the Summer Holidays this year. This will coincide with resurfacing work along the road, which will cause disruption.

I appreciate the train may be a more attractive route from Wolverhampton, but this will also clash with Tunnel closures in Birmingham, which will make the Metro seem a lot less appealing!
