That is unusual, usually by the evening its only Geminis left on the 11A/C.

There's still a Gemini out and about on the evening 31E, 4650 I think it is, that's usually singles off the 37 in the evenings.

Also, earlier today, 4655 was out on the 1, which is normally single-deck on Sundays.

There was an Omnilink and 4765 on WA8/89 today.

With 5513 on the 255/6/7 and 5514 on the 126, no wonder there was no B5's on the 59 today!

Walsall's regular Scania routes,  were there any 'missing in action' today?

There was a 4 branded & an unbranded one on the 302 tonight.

What would have been covering in their place on their regular routes?

Well, sort of relevant, but Walsall College did a media production about public transport issues. You could just about see a 4 branded Scania there (1854, by the looks of the reg plate).

As Clayderman says, 809 on the 63 is most definitely unusual, far fewer Tridents on the 22/23 of late but you do sometimes get one or two, although they often tend to appear in the afternoon peak. Have noticed of late that where non Hybrids are used it's often a standard E400 that's put out.

Well, for me, it's sort of unusual to have Tridents because there are likely to be B10Ls and Wright Eclipse Urbans on WA 69 on Saturdays. Last Saturday, missed 69 so don't know what they had. Saturday before, 69 had 2 B10Ls, a Wright Eclipse Urban and 4774. :) I go on 69 every Saturday and there were few occasions Tridents appeared recently so hence my post about 4125. :)

Today (Sunday 8th June)

4596 on WN1! Caught it on the 11:10 departure from Tettenhall Wood (School Rd terminus)

It would be really odd if this was allocated from the garage.

Maybe WN and WA are covering the St Thomas Moore School services in the short term? Or have WB stopped running the St Thomas Moore services?

Seemed to be lots of not necessarily rare, but unusual workings in Walsall today.

OmniLinks were in operation on the 10, 40/41, 70A & 29 services.
The three vehicles I noticed on the 301 were 2 Tridents & an Enviro (this was around 1030 - so a bit late for all the workings that come off the school services I believe).
A B10 on the 311/313
An Enviro on the 70A.

I saw 4312 at about 08:25 this morning, it may have been on from the start of service.

2018 on WN59. allocated to late night 59/09 from start of board i think (saw it early this morning and have seen it throughout the day)
A merc is also on WN59.

There appears to be no Spectra's on WN59 today which is quite a noteworthy thing. Can't think of the last time there wasn't one Spectra on the 59 (Excluding Sundays of course)

4511 on the WB 45 at Walsall Bradford Place!

First NX double decker into BP for some years surely?

Noteworthy day on 301s

B10 1433, 4 Volvo B7s (I think 1752, 1767 and 1771 were among them) and 2 tridents 4132 and 4129. No sign of any Scanias from what I saw which must be unusual.

Apart from Sundays with the 297E and 244 ;)

I was told there was a Spectra on WN2 also.

2018 was taken off the 59 early this evening and swapped with 4545 from board 59/08 (What should have been allocated in the first place!)

I guess B7RLEs aren't unusual on the 24, been about 3 or more on there this week, arriving outside Four Dwellings towards terminus around 3:30(?)

In other news 4908 was on the 24 also, I haven't seen on in days, mostly been on the 22 when I see them in Harborne! (Holly May, 4906 i think, was on the 22s)

EDIT: Also, there was a ticket branded E200 on the 29A, around 4:20-ish towards town. Speaking of ticket branding, an e400 at BC has gained one, couldn't identify from afar, probably 4908? As the e400 was on the 24, has 4908 been on the 24 all day?

My typo - 808 on the regular 'anything goes' board that the hybrid sneaks onto occasionally.

It was 809 last time I photographed it last September

http://www.expressandstar.com/news/2009/12/18/passengers-told-to-walk-as-bus-struggles-up-hill/

I miss B6s struggling up the hill! Haha, that article reminds me of one afternoon at 16:25, 603 was packed and halfway through up the hill, it started to slow down then stopped. The driver revved the engine, the bus did not move! 😂 It was funny. The driver got out and had a red face "Would half of you all mind getting off and walk up?" We got off, I had to take a picture of it! The hill was really steep, it was difficult walking up. 603 slowly rolled up the hill and picked us up again. There was another hill ahead, thank god 603 was alright on that one!

Well, yeah, pretty much the same as the article but wanted to say my version.

Hopefully, 634 will go up slowly.

@P419 EJW, @the trainbasher - 638 was the slowest, worst B6 at BC on the 636 back in 2012. It would crawl up Mucklows Hill at about 3-4mph, and would struggle to accelerate down hill! Don't try to slow the thing down as the brakes were either on or off!

Even still, better that then the E200's!

638 definately has a bad and well known reputation. As for 634, why they decided to trial it on WN81 the mind boggles after all the occassions of crawling up The Holloway on the old 62A. However, if you "give it the beans" before you start to go up the hill, you'll just about do it

Boo. The bus station supervisor said 14:45 81 bus is broken down... 😒 Was looking forward to go on 634.

Tut, tut, tut @Ashley... "Giving it the beans" is not the NX way now is it? (Haha)

And then before you know it you're 10 mins late. Bet you're glad not to have to suffer the NXWM timings on some routes @Liverpool Street

You're too right, @the trainbasher. Just been looking at the Great Park service timetables... 41 minutes of a night for the 98 end to end, and 24 minutes for the X64 from Square Peg to Woodcock Hill.. No thank you!

I need to compare the times between timing points on the Bristol Road 61 / 3 and the GP X64 / 98.

As mentioned by Matt 1627 is on the 243/4. Came into Dudley about 18:40-18:45

Also 2007 is on the 126 this evening. Replaced 4544 which was taken back to garage by an engineer for vehicle servicing. It worked the 19:05 ex W'ton

508 is on the afternoon peak extra which is allocated anything. 632 is on late night board 59/09 and i think it has been on since start of board which is very rare.

Also this afternoon:
4569 on WN1. Seen about 16:20 on Pipers Row going towards Dudley.

4586 on WN2. Seen at Wolverhampton Bus Station about 4pm or roundabout that time going towards Bushbury Hill

4570 on WN4. Seen on Lichfield St about 16:23-16:25 opposite the Art Gallery going towards Bradmore

508 and 632 were running together too. A very rare sight to see two B6's running together!

No. You mis-interpreted it. I did not mean bus euthansists going on WB B6s, I meant people in WB use B6s. It would be silly if I said to here... If so, I would be a tramp then. Duh.

Yes, amazingly 582 was allocated to the 29s, first bus out of garage at 5:30 this morning, 1446 is a change bus

What does this do before going onto the 29s. I can't believe they start that early.

Yes first 29 is 05:30 was Walsall Bus Station

1679 was on WN1, though I think it's now been taken off.

4601 is on WN2.

662 was on WN10 and its blinds were changed to blank so I assume it was taken out of service.

Late gen but noteworthy , 6 branded 2074 made a rare foray onto the 529 last night, around 2210 into Wolvo. must have been a swop out as I saw it running empty Pendeford to PL just after 6pm.

Have the Scania's got Tacho's fitted as well then as I wouldn't have thought them to be the obvious choice as from a passengers point of view I think they are particularly uncomfortable

Also today i've sighted:
4561 on WN28 (Was on the 59 this morning)
2011 on WN59 (Very rare on a Saturday and the replacement of 4561). A late night board too

4777 on PB904

1673 on WN 2, seen it in Wolverhampton Bus Station at 18:01, heading to Warstones.

Reason for editing: Added the Spectra's fleet number and another sighting.

If I saw 807 on 97 now would it be on all day or peak board?

If you saw it in Town, then I would say it is the peak extra (I saw it start from Heartlands heading into City around 5 past 4 one afternoon)

Why will there be more B7's on then the mercs go. 43 out of 47 B7's are already allocated

Following on from 1844 on the 904E this afternoon, PB had another rare working tonight with 1870 on the 94. Seen leaving City Centre on the 11.15pm departure.

Was gonna post the same, saw it about quarter to 7 in town, but actually thought it was just an extra working in the peak
