There is a Short 71 Working BC Operate from Sheldon to Solihull that is not on the timetable it leaves Sheldon around 7:25-7:30am and arrives in Solihull 5-10 minutes later and its usually worked by a Trident :)

It is timetabled - School days only, leaving the Wheatsheaf at 7:28, arriving at Solihull Station 7:45
There used to be a short working on the 63 running from Birmingham - Rubery Flyover aroung 5.00
I see some 14's displaying Stechford, Tile Cross or Marston Green as short workings. Also used to occasionally see 97E's going from Chelmsley Wood to the Mackadown only, which seemed like a pointless short working. There's a 94E to Arran Way I see sometimes, not sure if it's timetabled.

If there is a short working that isn't on a timetable just means the vehicle is running late and has been adjusted accordingly.
However, short working service extras are different. For instance, 45 to Edgbaston Cricket Ground which went when it was full.
Remember, all mileage needs to be accounted for.
Indeed 50-99 running board is a different story. I believe it is a duplicate board as BC 50 workings would still need to be distributed correctly.
I've seen daytime shortened 45Es to West Heath, I'm not sure whether these are timetabled or not

Again there is two situations where this can come about:
1) Service is running late and to save approx 16minutes it will be turned at West Heath. (Usually when 2 45's are running close together.)
2) 'Service Extra' - For instance, bad traffic has caused a large service gap and, say, a DTO has stepped in to provide service. These runnings are dealt with by AVL.
I've never known of short journey services just running without any times without a valid reason for doing so. Sort of defeats the object of it being a public service..
