Just look how clean and presentable the bus looks still despite the weather conditions, all it takes is a little tiny amount of sleet and the NXWM livery just becomes totally black and grubby, white is just the worst colour for any motor vehicle, why are a lot of taxis white? Because whiter cars on average are cheaper than the same models so taxi drivers buy them

No don't be rediculous, I'm talking private taxis, there's hundreds in Dudley for example, White Vauxhall Astras flying around the place, Honda Accord's etc... obviously the purpose built ones that run for companies are mostly black but any vehicle can be a taxi, not just Managnese Bronze ones

That's only because Dudley Council stipulate that all private hire taxis in the borough should be white.....
Watching that video brought back some memories of my student days in Brighton, a long long time ago, when a crowd of us helped dig a Brighton Hove & District Bristol Lodekka out of a snow drift on a hill that runs parallel to Eaton Place, about half a mile to the west. Coincidentally, the Lodekka was also on the 1 to Whitehawk and like the Omnidekka was off-route. I guess that the Omnidekka was using Eaton Place (a recognised bus route) as it is less steep than its normal route, which was possibly impassable by then.
I agree with wilmotm how cleaner the buses look with a cream based livery rather than a white based one. If you look at photos of all the buses in the Brighton & Hove fleet, which they publish on their own website at http://history.buses.co.uk/history/currentfleet/welcome.htm (http://history.buses.co.uk/history/currentfleet/welcome.htm), most of them look really good.
Finally, on the day that I was talking about, Brighton just ground to a halt, and there was a famous picture in the local paper of the chaos at Rottingdean just outside Brighton, which I have found and attached to this post. I apologise for the quality. For the historians amongst you, the three nearest buses are Southdown Leyland PD3's (the famous Queen Mary's), the one above is a BH&D Bristol/ECW KS and the one in the top corner is a Brighton Corporation Transport Leyland PD2/37 with a Weymann body.

Since when was Stourbridge part of Birmingham?
Cabs are usually black
Minicabs (normal cars) are various, although many are Skoda Octavias, VW Passats and Toyota Avensis'.
