First one,
How did you get that program?
It's the program that is given to Bus Operators (such as NXWM) that have Hanover Displays
I know, but how am I able to get it?
Personally I'd rather you had neither as it makes threads extremely difficult to navigate, and let's face it, once we've seen it we've seen it, we don't really need to see it again every time you post.

In the video above, HELEN is being used on Mac OS. To be blunt, is there any way for me to obtain the mac os version?
I mean, it's not a necessity for me seeing as I have the program on my Windows PC, but it would certainly be more convenient than having me switch between the two devices.
Cheers.

You can always try running it under Wine. Failing that, either a Windows virtual machine or setting up a Bootcamp partition would work.

I'd presume we'd need to know the size of each display first so that it can be set up correctly in the Mobitec software. I'm inexperienced with it so it's best for someone else to do it, but if you need any other graphics like flyers and stuff making, then shoot me a PM.

I'm a bit late but I found a solution now that I have a Mac, if you get the program Parallels, you can run any Windows app in it's virtual machine and use 'Coherence' view so that they work alongside your Mac apps.

There are only two sizes for the front display, all the rest are the same size. I use 19x140 on MIE, but it may be different for yours. It should say on the display somewhere what the sizes are.
If you know the reg number of the bus you got them from, fire it over to me and I can work out the size for you.

Mobitec is usually one of three sizes, 140x19 is the standard size, some Darts and Centros at Diamond have 140x16 ones, and then the Mellors have 112x16. I have all 3 set up in Helen, along with 144x19 for Hanover, to do their blinds. I find it easier to do them all in Helen, and then export them into MIE, as they can be done to the exact same style.
Thank you stourvalley for the help.

I'm not sure what font you're referring to, but you should be able to click the arrows to change it. You can also set a font in normal mode, 'lock' that bit, and then enable Super-X.

Yes, tried all that but still nothing. It's the font where the capital letters are larger in size than the lower case letters

I also had a newer version but lost it after a computer reinstall and also didn't have it left on a USB stick despite previously having it.
I agree that it did have a habit of wanting to locate installation files from time to time, losing the MSI file meant having to go back to 3.3.
The most annoying thing about it being I had backed up my Mobitec stuff in a few places, but not Hanover!
Considering we are in the middle of a lockdown currently, are there any transport other softwares available that could help pass time?

The software is only made available to individuals/companies who have purchased equipment from the display manufacturers, that's the only 'legal' way of obtaining newer software versions.
Bit of a technical question but does anyone know why Helen messes with the font proportions on Windows 11?
Hi girls and guys! I'm new here and looking for some info on Mobitec/MIE. So I'm jumping in on this topic, rather than to start a new one.
I would like to make some additions to the destination database on some of our busses, is there any way of extracting the existing file from a Mobitec ICU 400?
There are some destinations missing on these busses and repeated requests to the management have been to no avail. So I'm thinking of adding the entries to the original file, rather than having to start all over from scratch
I've got MIE to create or if possible edit the required database, any way to do this.
Same goes for Hannover DG3, but not that urgent. I've got HELEN for that, but again, want to extract the existing files.
I'm driving bus in the southern part of Denmark, mostly Volvo 8700eev (Mobitec) and Iveco Crossway (Hannover). Besides new Yutong E12 e-bus (hate them, not build for overland and way to discount)...
Any help would be much appreciated!
Quote from: TGZac on February 25, 2024, 03:09:51 PMBit of a technical question but does anyone know why Helen messes with the font proportions on Windows 11?
I believe Helen disables Clear Type on Windows, as otherwise, importing fonts doesn't work. Someone has made a fix for this, but I've not personally tried it, so use at your own risk - https://github.com/sjain882/HELEN-ClearType-Toggle
