I assume the operating hours & frequency are down to ASDA & what they are paying Diamond to operate the service

Possibly I'm not to sure if I'm honest.

Rotala / ASDA Redditch Free Bus
October 26, 2016, 11:43:10 PM
As some on here know I work for Asda at the Redditch store.

Well I can confirm ASDA have asked Diamond to provide a free bus from the bus station to the bus shelter on Jinnah Road. So far since Monday Signature buses have been used. As far as I know it is every hour and leaves the store at about 5 past the hour and the last bus from the store is 17:05 which seems crackers as we close at 2200 so might want a slight tweak and a higher frequency to get a higher usage.

Oh right.. Whenever I go I don't usually see any presidents. It must just be my luck then...

During term time it can be rare sighting during the week but through the holidays they do make an appearance so that they are fit for the up and coming school year. Or thats the plan.

President 40543 is on the 57/58 today. Don't think these work normal services much now
Signature Solo SR 20015 is on the 55 today
Enviro 300 30933 is on the 57/58 today

Presidents are fairly normal on the 57/58
Signature Solo SR on the multi Rota of 51 55 62 64 67 47 48 70 is normal too
and the E300 is Normal too.
If the bus is deemed fit to run it will be put on ant route apart from a DD as it can not run on the 51 due to railway bridge.

And they report that Worcester are to lose 2 x D/D's to First Kernow.

Or one if you read further on.

Why are there so many sections of fleet numbers, wouldn't be more sensible to number the StreetDecks 6149-6153 (instead of 3301-3305) ?
The hybrids could be 6001 upwards (instead of 54xx and 55xx)

The bendi buses are 6001-6032 which is why they went for 54xx and 55xx which makes sense. 3225 is a Heritage Bus which is why 3301 was chosen for the street decks and why should have NX put the Street decks in with the MMCs why not keep them separate makes more sense to me if I'm honest.

As for sensibility to be honest how NX have done it makes more sense then the old way, but in all honesty its up to NX to decide not us its there fleet and numbers to issue as they see fit.

because arriva run old trains, have you ever seen or been on there trains I have, same with the buses, because DB are trying to save money

Yes DB Arriva Chiltern run the oldest DMU on the network but they also run the newest class of diesel as well. The Bubble cars have had some major changes to allow them to run on the Mainline but that is only because they couldn't get a 153 to do the job.

As for the pacers in Wales and Northern they have inherited those of off BR First DfT and other operators. The Pacer was a stop gap but like most things in the world it became permanent and costly to replace. The same with the Mk 3 Stock and HSTs, short term fixes for a big problem.

In all fairness DB are getting changes made to get rid of the stock but it will take time.

But Tony is right DfT call the shots.

Not sure, But Woosh is Worcs County Council

In answer to your first question as I answered your second one straight away, the buses for 147, and 360 are to be 3 former First MR Solos from Worcester either on Hire or Bought.

Also according to LM's Wikipedia Page All of Northern's Class 323's are moving to LM when the Arriva Rail North Franchise comes into force on 1st April 2016

I can't see that one happening anytime soon 2017-19 is when the new CAF EMUs are due to Northern meaning the 323's would be displaced by Arriva Northern.
