I believe its okay to use a non-compliant bus but they have to pay a fine. It very much depends upon the terms of the contract.

Any ideas if I could use Swift go onboard between Rednal Hares and Hound & Longbridge Lane (near Groveley Lane) onboard 182/183?

As both points are within the Nbus area and you are not passing out of the Nbus area, you should be fine. 

Please note that the timetable on the TfWM website is out of date, the service was changed on the 15th April but two weeks later the timetable has not been updated.  The up to date timetable is available to download from the Diamond Bus website by selecting Worcestershire as the area.

Diamond Bus have been awarded a small franchise in Tranche 3 to start in January 2025.

Changes to 182/183 start 15th April 2024 with journeys on this Mon-Fri service also serving Longbridge railway station and Barnt Green.

Must admit I had a ride over to Coventry Wednesday just gone, so it was an early start, but I had to put the bins out anyway!

It's been sometime since I caught a bus to Coventry, as most recent trips pre Covid were by train.

Think the last time by bus was in the 159 days, but did the 159 do the 'double back' as well?

I don't think the 159 served Parkhill and the old 900 certainly didn't serve Parkhill at all originally either. It was I think the changes to local services in that part of Coventry which led to the 900 serving Parkhill. 

This might be the wrong place to say this but at roughly 16.25 on severene road 4A the driver of 6704 would not move because a passenger was carrying a TV, is this allowed on a bus or is the driver overreacting? He was holding 7540 up which was already 20 mins late and we couldn't go around due to a parked car.

According to NX Conditions of Carriage (downloadable from the NX website), the driver is within their rights to refuse to carry any luggage or goods. In addition any item weighing over 22kg is prohibited. Therefore annoying as it might seem the driver was following the correct procedure in my opinion. 

I boarded on 6726 earlier on the X51 from Walsall to Cannock. The bus was pretty decent, only one problem with it while driving randomly the "please apply hand break" would announce when the cab door was closed. This happened a few times during the journey. Maybe it's a faulty sensor or something.

Very likely. Probably just needs adjustment to the cab door.
