Quote from: Stu on April 28, 2024, 09:46:46 PMIt will do eventually, but only when the time is right and circumstances allow it.In recent years (before the split) The Circle had become intensely unreliable, often i waited for a bus 45 minutes to the Hour, the display says one will be along in 5 minutes or whatever but nothing came along, no social media info on why its not running, phone AG Garage they say its reported as running with no issues,
I doubt NX will restore it just to satisfy a few 'nostalgics' and other people who don't actually rely on this service.
There are enough people who already complain about the reliability of this service as it is now, the complaints would only increase if the service becomes more unreliable again.
I was ready to suggest that perhaps a 'phased' reintroduction could be adopted, with evening and Sunday journeys restored to a full loop, but having been faced with a near 25-min wait for an 11A from Bearwood back to Billesley this evening, I think I've changed my mind.
Quote from: Tony on April 04, 2024, 06:08:00 PMCurrent locationsJust a little question, its something that struck me, in time (with Diesel Buses being phased out) will the E prefix be dropped or is it something we have to live with, a brief comparison would be as steam was Phased out D was for Diesel, E was for Electric in time with steam gone, both D & E were dropped, just a question no drama no criticism

Quote from: Tony on March 07, 2024, 02:58:34 PMprobably more where on route you look, between Bull Street and Wolverhampton I have never been on one with less than around 40 people on. They are quieter Bull Street to Edgbaston villageMorrisons to 5 ways, usually, if i go to Birmingham, then Broad St / Corporation St, not arguing, just saying......
Quote from: uniquicity on March 06, 2024, 04:51:40 PMI've deliberately ignored the forum recently because of all the rubbish posts.maybe its the time of day ? its certainly not inacurate, but im willing to concede it could be time of day, mid afternoon when im about theyre empty (well maybe upto 20 people at most)
But having just stood from Birmingham to West Brom and far too intimate with a few people around me, I'm calling bullshit on the above
(This was no different to normal on the 3 days I commute on the metro each week...)
Quote from: Stu on February 16, 2024, 09:19:47 AMIt will be at least a couple of years before we ever see trams running on those tracks in Digbeth; it can't be linked up until the Curzon Street HS2 station nears completion.just what we need, more congestion and traffic jams due to roads being occupied by empty trams, ive yet to see a full one, i see a lot of people walk away from the stop at Morrisons and get a bus or taxi instead........... thinks what a wonderful mayor we have he provides all the things we dont want and dont need loits dont even work
Quote from: markcf83 on January 27, 2024, 02:54:51 PMThey'd be changing their tune if they were forced to pay for one bus......i fully agree, that was my point
Quote from: Tony on January 27, 2024, 02:09:42 PM3 fires in over a thousand vehicles in 10 years is not my definition of several, as a comparison Stagecoach Highlands had three diesel fires one year in a fleet of around 150. Last year NX had zero thermal incidents other than arson despite operating 163 electric vehicleswell finally your more chilled towards me
Quote from: Stu on January 25, 2024, 07:46:40 PMAll I will say is to be wary of "anti-electric vehicle" propaganda.Thank you for not jumping down my throat
Especially if it is being circulated on social media.
Yes, I am aware of certain stories about electric bus fires and admittedly I've not looked too closely into them, but equally as far as I am aware, it has never been made clear if such vehicles have 'accidentally' caught fire or been subject to arson attacks.
Quote from: Steve3229vp on January 25, 2024, 08:04:08 PMLike I said, let's just leave it !fair enough........
Quote from: EK40 on January 25, 2024, 09:07:54 PMit was only one fire btw, with a fairly rare type in the grand scheme of things (optare metrodecker EV) only operated in small amounts in london and york. nothings being withdrawn or converted or the like.Thank You i was not aware it was one i have seen several posts, one through the garage doors & 2 from different angles i thought that was 3 my bad, im not an expert, i did not realise also that there are different types, i thought the differences where just Chassis & Body - i AM afan of the Electrics, but NOT The Tram, i would be a fan of the Hydrogens but they spend too much time off the road, it seems the technology is not ready to be rolled out yet as the infrastructure is not there
the type NX uses (BYD ADL400EV) has not had any isses despite probably being one of the most common electric types and being in service for nearly 5 years across the country.
its sensationalist media really, just trying to ragebait for clicks as they know people generally arent a fan of EVs due to some legitimate concerns and many random things they've been told over facebook and believe.
