One thing I can't work out from any of the new photos is if the red stripe is solid red (which it looks) or if it's the same two tone as all the repaints and Cov blue.

Serious thought -

According to the news item on the Leicester Buses website, the Arriva electric double-deck buses were (partly?) funded by a joint bid to the Government's Zero Emission Bus Regional Areas (ZEBRA) scheme by Arriva UK Bus and Leicester City Council.

These things normally require the money to be used only for the stated purpose (in this case, electric buses for Leicester) otherwise the grant has to be re-paid, so I am not sure that Arriva can just send them elsewhere - or what Leicester City Council would do if they did try to do that 

Can't LCC put a compulsory purchase order in for the land and force the owner to sell the land

As a driver I can confirm they do work but cut off after more than 1 trip. X1's aren't really affected as the bus gets turned off once back in Coventry due to the layover. However, I did the X1 yesterday and by the time I got to the Alvis Retail Park they cut off and didn't hear them for the rest of my trips

Seems a bit useless if they stop after 1 trip

Now that Cox St & Fairfax St have reopened the NXC X30 city centre stop has reverted back to using the old swimming baths as the nearest stop for the Meadow. For two weeks during these works the X30 instead shared the 21 Hales St stop which IMO is a much better city centre drop off location especially for strangers coming into city from the rail station.

Over time I have seen many many people miss the swimming  baths stop on the X30 and then they get taken back out of town by some distance.

Has TfWM considered allowing the X30 to continue using the Hales St 21 on a permanent basis?

Could TFWM not have an on demand service for a replacement of the 29 and have a travel safety officer on board the service
