I've noticed on many threads that their is talk of night services and as well their should as its a growing area for NX but I thought it would be best to congregate the talk into a dedicated thread.
Feel free to add your views and suggestions for possible night services.

Allow me to start it off, I think the 9 and 900 should go 24hr, probably on an hour basis.

Am sure the 9 will between Birmingham & Quinton like it used to when it was the 9N, that way it only needs one bus and driver.

As for the 900, don't think so. The airport has a night service and can't imagine ther being demand all the way to Coventry.

Tbh i see nx creating a core night service network by the end of year. With 97/50/74 and now 63 i see the 51, 45 or 47, 9 and one of Suttons joining this year

Probably but you can guarantee that all services will be Birmingham based, because that is what NX are interested in, can you see Dudley, Wolverhampton, or Stourbridge getting any because i can't!

I feel as though a Stratford Road service (Ideally the 6) should also be made 24hr so they have a service serving the major roads of Birmingham.

My apologies, I reckon NXWM can have a viable night network if that becomes the case

I hope they do cos t wolverhampton has a lot of factories dotted about for early morning workers, since wolves and walsall house universities so students would use it get between the two campuses.

I drove a late night 51 Saturday before last (finished at half 12) and every trip had a full load and was stopping at every bus stop! Was impossible to stick to time, so I wouldn't be surprised if they added more late night 51's

Pffft, wouldn't ever happen purely on the basis you wouldn't get one member of staff willing to drive it. 529 is grim enough by daylight. By night, apart from the minority, the clientele are the s**m of the earth.

The introduction of new night services seems to be very gradual and thoroughly thought out, they're going about it in the right way in my opinion

As long as they think of places like Walsall, Wolverhampton & Dudley, NE doesn't just operate in Birmingham and its suburbs!

Like I said I think it'll be gradual, so places outside of Birmingham may be secondary priority
