Guessing the ones about the E400H's being converted to just be regular Diesels, since the batteries will need replacing in the near future, which is fairly expensive.

Any views/comments are my own and do not reflect those of my employer.

If true, I also wonder whether reliability issues have also been a factor in the decision. These E400Hs seem to spend a fair bit of time off the road.

Thanks Tony, I will stop looking for 5409. I always found it an interesting bus. I remember when it was at BC and the Harborne services changed drivers at Snow Hill, I was on it a  couple of times when it started off up the hill without the engine running and as it was on full power, being a series hybrid, it accelerated very quickly, reminiscent of a trolleybus.
I wonder if it will be used as a test bed for the new Platinums, which are due soon.

It's in need of some very expensive bits, no decision has been made on whether to convert it diesel or not.

Is 5409 the only one that has stop/ start technology?
