4541/4560/61/4609? Are they clapped out?

I said some of them, not all of them ::)

Best you stick to PN buses in the future as you seem to think you know more than me about WN which you clearly don't !

I think I know enough about it to know when a garage is making buses worse. Now back to Birmingham Central please.

Trident 4609

Why don't you just leave me alone matt. :'(

Don't take it personally, I was talking about a bus garage! Not you...

JB93

So yeah, Birmingham Central...

The Real 4778

You'd think these wretched buses were actually in relationships with some of the posters on here the way they talk.
Don't you start.

4003 was one of the best when at BC. Just you WN folk don't know what a good Spectra is lol

Was it, what was so good about it, just out of curiosity?

Hi Matt, whereabouts do you work at the company and what position do you hold?

Perhaps you could go down to WN and meet some of the engineering team and let them know your comments on here?

Was fairly quick, better brakes (but could've been after a V.I.) , light steering from what I remember. No one dreaded 4003.

Don't matter now I don't work anymore.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Matt,

In case you hadn't already figured it out, I think you'll find that BN is WN garages engineering manager, hence his reply

Tony

I've just finished my first driving duty at BC for two years, didn't take the easy option of a new bus on the 900, but took a duty on the 14 with 4151, not sure why you BC drivers moan about the 41xx, 4151 is a lovely bus, superb brakes, only fault is it is a bit slow pulling away on a hill.

Shame London Midland are so shit and cannot be bothered to run any trains to get me home. Don't expect any website updates tonight, currently on the stopper to Walsall with the promise of a replacement bus

Not all 41's are bad, Tony. You can't paint all Tridents with the same brush
Majority of early Tridents are very poor. Not only that the retarder on some of them are so weak you've cooked the brakes by the middle of the journey. (Ever wondered why the brake pedal goes down further and further during the duty.. don't get that with a ZF box with 95% retarder efficiency)

Got no intentions of driving another bus anyway.  ;D

Saw quite a few BX54 and BV52 tridents with only a couple of branded ones on the 97 today while in Moor Street.Tbh i've never seen many of the 4610-34 batch operate the 97 whenever i visit Birmingham
