@Nathan admittedly I haven't seen an E200 on the 2/3 for a few weeks now, but I noticed three or four of them on both routes today (hope this isn't going to become a regular occurrence!)

(I do have them down as 'also commonly used' but to be honest when they do appear I tend to see them on the 3 more than the 2)

Increased frequency in peaks or wishful thinking ?

2/3 going single deck

Probably not what I wanted to hear, but if that's the decision that's been made I guess I have to accept it.

When single decks have appeared in the morning while I'm on my way to work, they've not been a major problem admittedly.

But the concern has always been in the evenings when trying to get home. As long as the 6 stays reliable with double-decks, hopefully passengers bound for Sparkbrook will use that, rather than trying to cram onto the single-decks on the 2 and 3, which means they would end up passing me by, leaving me with a long wait for the next one.

I seem to recall that they tried using single-decks before on the 2 and 3 (and old 3A) when they had the ex-gas Alexander B10Ls at YW, and that didn't last long due to complaints about overcrowding. Maybe having the double-decks on the 6 will make a difference this time, we'll have to see...

The Platinums on the 6 will move to another garage when the electrics arrive.

I see, how many E200MMCs are YW losing?

I was told 3 to AG and a few to WB but don't take that as gospel.

WB are getting 2234-2239

I assume that may then mean AG may get an extra 4 (2230-33)

Are they for a specific route or just general usage?

Are there plans for 2240 to move anywhere? (its my last one and never on the 6 when I am out after it!)

I figured that would be the case, hence why I believe they will mostly remain unbranded.

I see elsewhere here that a couple of OmniLinks are on their way out also.

I guess that as the PVR of the 2 and 3 is much lower than the 6, even switching those two routes to single-deck operation leaves a surplus of single-deck vehicles at YW.

I wonder what else will be leaving YW then?

It's been on the 2 yesterday and today, so more likely to find it there or on the 3 now.

The 40 is due to receive these, indeed 2234 has been used so far on the route.

I did notice a few of the 22xx buses in Kings Heath today, operating on the 27 and 35 routes.
