People should be looking for the y reg tridents and b7TL alx 400 not these things which litter the streets nowadays. Other than the branding there nothing special. Can't see the green working as well as the blue mind should the Hagley road receive green branding again.

From an enthusiast's point of view, I actually agree with you.

Although most people would prefer free WiFi, leather seats and USB ports for charging

As far as i'm concerned, I have grew up around Enviros so that's what i will remember in the future. The ALX B7s are not my kind of bus anyway. And i agree there's too many Platinums which is why i  am getting my last photos and rides of 61s on the 50.

Yes i have seen 6903, and 4731 is on the 50

Well said Dylan, the sooner those old heaps are gone the better

Jack

Those 'Old Heaps' are what you call a bus, not brand new ADL Plastic.

Who are you to be telling people what they should be doing with their time? The new stuff doesn't interest me as much but there are people who are interested so that's their choice. It's no one elses business to be telling others which buses they should be catching and quite frankly none of your business.

Note. Apologies Tony & Winston. I don't post much other than sightings on here but thought something was worth saying. I'm not trying to cause a rift, just making a valid point. Regards.

When these 'old heaps' were brand new in 2001, everyone was calling them ADL plastic. I fail to see any nostalgia with them - literally thousands of dull generic ALX400 bodies buses run by every major operator across the country. I see no difference between these and the latest new deliveries in that respect, other than the new ones are far more pleasant to travel on.

At least many of the buses that preceded the B7TLs and Tridents had some characteristics that made them unique to the West Midlands.

I was just behind 4570 on the 49 on Bristol Road South and I noticed that the top right cluster when moving was flickering but fine when brakes are applied.

They're not mutually exclusive either, people can look for the older ones just fine while also keeping an eye out for any new deliveries.
