Yes I was thinking that but as you say, that's if the notice is correct.
Last time I'm pretty sure the 3 turned short of its usual terminus

That's right.  From Yardley Wood (Slade Lane) it did a tour of the western part of Hall Green to terminate in Shirley at Haslucks Green Road/Stratford Road - two miles short of its normal terminus at The Green Business Park.  The few passengers from there were presumably expected to use the 5 from the nearest Stratford Road stop by Cranmore Boulevard.
