16/12/15;

LM172213 > Kidderminster > Smethwick Galton Bridge
LM350??? > Smethwick Galton Bridge > Wolverhampton
NXWM (didn't ID) > 529 > Wolverhampton > Neachells Lane
(had to some personal business to deal with)
NXWM (didn't ID) > 529 > Neachells Lane > Walsall Bus Station
Thandi (T77NND) > 334 > Walsall, Bradford Place > Bilston Bus Station - HELLFIRE sounded amazing you can't beat a little Dart bash sometimes 😜
NXWM (812, BX62SNK) > 43 > Bilston Bus Station > West Bromwich

NXWM (4956, SL14LSO) > 74 > West Bromwich (there was a stand off between the driver and a potential passenger when we reached Soho Road the reason I say "potential passenger" is the driver refused to let him on board due him not paying the correct fare he was trying to pay £1 for 2 stops as everybody knows (or should do) it is £1.90! Although it was his own fault as he never asked the driver how much it would be until after he had put his money in the vault! When the driver refused to let him on he said "oh so you think I'm gonna put a £1 in then walk off the bus nah bruv it ain't happening!" - at this point the driver switches the bus off!! And at this point I thought all hell was going to break loose! - in the end this guy got off peacefully but not before giving the driver a load of abuse first! I don't envy National Express West Midlands drivers or inspectors at all as the abuse they get day in day out can't be very pleasant) > Birmingham City Centre (met @RS)

Chiltern 165016 > Birmingham Moor St > Solihull Train St
NXWM (2206, YX15OYU) > 72 > Solihull Train St > Solihull Town
NXWM (1909, BX59NSU) > 6 > Solihull Town Centre > Solihull Train St

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Do you mean the bandit alarm?

This is one thing I've never understood.

Why do drivers take it amongst themselves to "enforce" the fare. Why switch the bus off? Why refuse to drive? Why take it personally? All you do is press the damn button. In the scenario of people just walking on, I don't say anything at all, just press the button. You're not paid anymore to be a hero are you?

Maybe someone can help me understand this. Even the company says what I'm saying!

Well because so I've been told by my mate (who used to be a driver at PN, BC & YW) alledgly he told me that if a driver gets a good hiding by a passenger (for whatever reason) the driver then gets £1,000 off the union instantly I don't know if that is still the case but it was when he was at Pensnett & Birmingham Central as I said I don't know if that was or still is the case
