Quote from: Stu on March 26, 2023, 04:16:31 PMI have heard there will be a 20A continuing to serve Cofton Hackett, but nothing official published yet.

According to West Midlands Bus Users, links from Longbridge to Cofton Hackett will be maintained by existing service 27. Passengers would have to change to service 20 for onward connection to/from the QE.

Thanks but I know what I wrote, it is my website after all.

The Bromsgrove Standard article I quoted made no mention of a 20A, hence my 'assumption' that the 27 would maintain the link to Cofton Hackett.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

My apologies,  I didn't realise it was your website.

Any ideas if the 27 is going to run between Northfield and Cofton on a Sunday as it currently doesn't?

No - the tender for the Sunday 27 sees it terminating at Northfield.

Just to clarify, what I actually wrote was:

"Cofton Hackett should continue to be served Monday to Saturday daytime by the 27 service from Longbridge, unless there are any other further changes that I am currently unaware of."

Breaking the no advance news rule, but 4587's MoT expires on the 13th April, so the next 7 days will be anyone's last chance to catch it out and about

That was a week ago, so has the vehicle now been retired from service?

Feels like the doomsday clock is running down fast for the ALX and Gemini fleets.
Don't you start.

What route did the old 69 (around 2008) from Solihull to Weoley Castle used to take?

Dunno about 2008 (I don't think the route changed much), but here is its route from 1988:

I was curious about this one too, you can see it on the 2009 map at the below link:
https://wmbusphotos.com/forum/index.php?msg=312708

Basically followed the 49 from Solihull to Maypole, then followed what is now the 27 from Maypole to Kings Heath, then what is now the 76 from Kings Heath to Selly Oak.

And on that link, what is shown as the 169 coming out of Solihull towards Sheldon is the Solihull-Heartlands Hospital part of the journey (in 1988 it terminated at the Yew Tree pub on the outer circle in Yardley).

Cheers for the link, didn't realise how convoluted the 69 really was.
