It is going to be 196s, unless they want to put 172s on it then there is no other alternative. There are plans to electrify the line to Shrewsbury from Wolves and upgrade the speed limit to 90mph from 75mph, but knowing the ambitiousness of this country, it will likely be shelved.

Don't think the 172s are cleared for BHM to SHR. Snow Hill need to use all the 172 available to enable 5 car workings and up to four in maintenance 

I don't think Galton bridge would be a problem, I think more Rolfe street would be.

Depends on the speed of the learner, if it's safe to overtake you can but I wouldn't overtake unless the vehicle was coming to a stand 

I have just looked at pictures on Tony's site and 4832 looks like it has two tone grey, maybe the lighting doesn't help

Yeah I know some of the West Midlands railway was helping out London northwestern railway for the London Euston to tring line.

I was more talking about the ones coming into service on the cross city line or any lines oporated by West Midlands railway. So 29th January is the date and any ideas what time and line it will be on please?

24 plates begin on 1st March so plenty of time for the 73 batch to appear, they could all be licensed before then and still appear with 73 plates after the 1st March. Like the streetdecks did in 2021 registered as 21 plates started service in late 2021

Best indicator of Stagecoach having brought a depot in Birmingham would be finding job advertisements or a land purchase agreement/leasing document 

It'll be nice to see some new stock on the Stour Valley. I can't help but feel like we get spoilt. Hopefully they're treated better than the 350s currently do, they're a wastebin and foot rest on this particular route

Even with ADL 400 EVs, the buses are too tall for Sandwell and Dudley stations rail bridge.

@Tony – I'm just wondering if you could clarify I've read a post on Facebook last week from what I assume is a Walsall driver that suggests 4125 is set to be withdrawn in the next few months is this correct? I do hope this is not the case it would be very sad to see it go, I travelled on it yesterday on the 10 from Brownhills and I must admit it was going quite well and was sounding lovely there is plenty of life left in her yet! Even if she is 22 next year
