20840-202 seemed strange to transfer a solo which they had none off? Why not a dart? Or unlike NX are they trained on everything?

Because I've been told that Diamond now only use Solo's on the route

I think it will be a waste transferring 20734 as it is one of the biggest solo tividale has. Would have thought 20828 or one of them solos would have gone along with 20840

Not necessarily as Tividale still has long Solo's  30638 & 30639 (YJ06 YPU & YPV)

I've been told by a driver friend of mine 2 more Solo's have transferred to Kidderminster for the 202 both of these are Cummins engined

I await to see if those are actually used on the 202 though...

Must say its been quite reliable for the last few months, so let's hope Kidderminster can keep that too. Shame solos won't be used though- presume darts??

Actually there will be at least 1 Solo in use on it and that one is 20738 (YJ10EYT) which moved across from Tividale last week

I've been told by a driver today that the 202 will start operating from Kidderminster again as of this coming Monday (20th March)

Hybrid Signature Versa (30405, YJ61CHK) has returned home to Redditch tonight following its short stay at Kidderminster as I was walking home from my mates house it past me "Not In Service" on Spennells Valley Road with the Redditch-based engineering van in convoy so I am guessing all of the other loan buses will be following suit unless they already have done so

With so much work and staff simply transferring over to Diamond, are they having some buses as well? If so, shall we take bets now on how long we'll see Diamond buses still in Arriva livery? Lol

That's a good point when Diamond took over Kidderminster from First three 54-reg Darts that were included in the sale (30930,VX54MUC); (30931,VX54MUO); (30932,VX54MUP) were being used in service still in First livery for around 6 months for 2 of those the last of those buses was painted during mid-2014 ::) so going back to your question I do wonder that myself how long will they be riding still in Arriva livery for

As @Dom has said the last day of operations will be 22 April we now we await the official statement from Arriva which I'm guessing will be impending

You can't tell me the 99 gets delayed between Halesowen and beginning of harborne high street. The speed limits on most roads are only 20/30 mph, so surely there just not giving the drivers enough running time. Traffic is not a problem except for a couple of parked cars. Out of interest @Tony can you show me a journey where the 99 has been late in this section?

I'm sure it was 20734 I saw on the 142 today, it has an exhaust on it the same shape & size of the E400MMC exhaust surround

Yeah @Winston that's the one it's bloody massive I've never seen an Optare with an exhaust that big before and when she's on tic over she sounds fiesty
