Arriva / Ex-Bridgnorth Allocations
September 21, 2014, 08:04:19 PM
Assuming the SY and TF garages would need extras with them now running various services; what extras have been allocated to these depots?

Arriva / 3010 - BJ12YPV loan
August 23, 2014, 08:23:28 PM
I know this is currently on loan to Telford, but has anybody got an idea as to why it is? Is it just covering during the Gorge Connect season or is there another vehicle that's not in use at the moment?

Arriva / Possible Sapphire Routes at each depot
April 24, 2014, 09:18:35 AM
Following the news of Cannock receiving Sapphire Wright StreetLites for Route 1, I came up with an idea. What if each depot had one Sapphire route - what do you think that route should be at each depot (and even what buses could it use)?

For example, I think Telford should either have Sapphire 44 or 481 - using the Pulsars (that's what they'd do, but I'd prefer Tempos).

-> 6006 - OS - FJ04 PFX
-> 6007 - TF - FN04 AFJ
-> 6008-10 - SY - FJ54 OTV/W/X

Any idea when these will be shifted to Stafford - it will be a shame to see them go :(

Next to the Citaros, these are the best buses Telford has

Arriva / Route Branding
November 08, 2013, 07:24:39 AM
Have you ever thought that there's a plus-side to route branded-buses being on the wrong route. I've realised that there's no point in making a bus look pretty for a route it's always on. That's why route branding may be seen as a marketing opportunity to advertise other routes.

For example, Telford's batch of 61-plate Versas are branded for the 481. However, instead of complaining about how they're never on the right route, imagine advertising the 481 so that customers know that there's a link between Telford, ASDA Donnington, and Stafford. It's advertising that really gets a business booming!

So, instead of moaning how Cannock's 74/74A branded Pulsars are not on the 74/74A, think about Arriva's strategy of advertising. It's very clever ;)

Does anyone know where I can find these? Thanks.

*In salesman voice* Taking a leaf out of the book of "How to waste a Dennis Trident", I thought I'd show how you could waste a nice, prestige DAF DB250LF double deck, with Alexander ALX400 body, and continually make you lose money.

Step 1: Allocate it on Arriva Midland's Telford Staff Shuttle...

See it's simple isn't it? Why don't you follow my steps at www.wmbusphotos.com/forum/ - click around and you'll find it.

*Normal voice* But, yeah, seriously, they need to use a double deck on an actual route. Grrr...

Arriva / More than 1 bus turning up at once...
August 06, 2013, 01:54:37 PM
I just can't see why alot of the time more than 1 bus will turn up at once - one bus will be really packed, and the other will be completely empty... It's happened about 4 times today on Telford's 55 - what is up? There's no roadworks... I have a conspiracy though - 2711 seems to be cursed, in my experience, because it is the most involved in these "2 buses at once" incidents - creepy? Strange? You tell me! All we need to say to Arriva is "sort it out!"  >:(

In a previous site update, it was stated that 2308 - P308 FEA, had been sold. But where? Where has it now ended up?
