National Express West Midlands / recovery contractor
September 15, 2015, 05:36:40 AM
hi, i was just wondering if nxwm had changed contract and employed a new recovery company, as the last few buses i have seen being towed towards wn garage have been hooked up by rs recovery, not mansfield as previously.

tony has posted a pic of banga travels mercedes vario today on facebook, commenting about the new dda rules. just to clarify, should all single decks now be dda compliant?

National Express West Midlands / B6s to Wolverhampton
October 10, 2014, 06:35:53 PM
reading the thread on wn garage that 582 is not a permenant allocation and is in strategic reserve, does this mean that some withdrawn or vehicles that have displaced through allocated fleet changes are able to be kept spare in case of shortages or for example metro replacement etc.

im assuming that un needed vehicles which have been replaced with newer ones would sometimes have decent mot lengths/tax so they can be used as spares at short notice?

years ago, there used to be a sticker on the back offside corner of the bus, with a thumbs up with please let my bus pull out or words to that effect. following a trident earlier, you can see where the sticker used to be. Why were these faded out?

i see vosa were in the bus station wed 13th feb, but seemed to do more walking around than checking buses. I saw a banga bus in the bus station that day too which was rare. do they check random vehicles, or do they target specific ones? i ask as i saw their equipment i.e crawl;ing board etc, but didnt actually see them checking a bus
