Halton Transport has gone into liquidation today (Friday 24/01/2020) so now there are only 5 English Municipal Bus Companies left: Blackpool, Ipswich, Nottingham, Reading & Warrington, plus Cardiff & Newport in Wales and Lothian in Scotland.

Halton Borough Council regrets that the Board of Halton Transport has taken the difficult decision to commence the process to put the company into liquidation, following a long period in which the company has been facing significant financial problems.

I posted on the 19th Jan in the Diamond North West thread that this company was in a bit of bother it's now at deaths door and a scaraligous priest had been ordered to initiate the last rites or as you would call us an accountant also known as receiver but these are vicious gits & not at all nice !
