Title: General election "Battlebuses"
Post by: Sandy Lane on May 10, 2017, 10:10:15 PM
I guess all the main parties will be touring round in their own party coloured bus? Can we ID them?

Saw a picture of the Labour bus today. Its fully wrapped in red vinyls and looked like a 16 plate Merc. Reg may be something like ??16 CDE.

Not rumour, now fact. It's Kings Ferry VIP YT12RLV (also used last year for EU vote to remain last year)

Also a side view of the same Tory coach on the BBC site

Intresting comment on the says - Tory aides joked today that the prime minister's new election battle bus was to be known in fact, as a "campaign coach".

I think the Lib Dem bus is the same Van Hool used in 2015 (67 MT) but it has now had fresh set of yellow vinyls.

They are operators coaches just vinyled up & hired by the parties for the duration.

As Parliament was dissolved this morning, then it'll be a couple of weeks before the battle buses start touring the country.

Labour are using a Yutong coach, YD19 HJZ. I found it earlier parked up in Wednesbury.

Apparently they are in Upper Gornal tomorrow. I don't know if their coach will be there
