Not as much as it should!
When I got on the train at Water Orton, which is unmanned and doesn't have a ticket machine the conductor couldn't be bothered to come out his back cab to sell tickets to the couple of us that got on there.
£10.30 return Nuneaton to Leicester
£6.30 single Nuneaton to Rugeley.
What was baffling was when I went to the ticket machine at Nuneaton to buy the ticket to Rugeley it gave me 3 options
£8.50 any permitted (valid via Birmingham)
£6.50 'not Birmingham'
£6.30 'via Tamworth'
Not quite sure why there are both of the bottom two as I cannot think of a route you can take 'not Birmingham' that isn't 'via Tamworth'

Amazing how buses can be driven "fast" and get there actually after a bus which left the same time and drove "Slow".
5505 on the 23a, then enjoyed a nice walk in the evening sunshine across the fields home.
Caught 4126 on WA89 home this evening. Prefered taking the bus with the nice sounding Voith gearbox over the ZF crap which was just behind on WN59!
Being followed by Enviros today. On 4889 on the 6A to Tanyard Farm (only going to Pool Meadow)
4169 on 70 this morning 11:19 ex Solihull
Just caught 4560 freshly repainted on the 25C from Wolverhampton-Wednesfield
4394 on a 76 home from Solihull (with a long walk at the end)
Took a bit of a long way home yesterday after work; got a 900 from Bordesley station to the Airport, then a 966 to Solihull, and finally a 37 back to Acocks Green.
Still think that the 900 would have benefited more from the new bus only road if it went to the airport terminal before the rail station, on journeys towards Coventry.

London Midland have rejected a request to provide a 2-hourly Sunday service from the December timetable. I think that the Stourbridge Line User Group are going to resubmit this request when Monday to Saturday figures are published showing an increase in footfall at Hartlebury.
Incidentally, London Midland have agreed to one extra train per hour in each direction (off-peak Monday to Saturday) at Hagley from December, reinstating through trains from there to Worcester.

@Roy that would be great for Hartlebury, it would receive the same level of service as Small Heath (2tph). Presumably the Whitlock's End terminators would need more time on journeys to call at Hartlebury, so hopefully the Worcester xx:51s to Whitlock's End, will be retimed to leave at xx:46 to allow time to call at Hartlebury. Hopefully Hartlebury will receive some form of a Sunday service by December

@Sh4318 You misunderstood me - by 2-hourly, I meant that a train every 2 hours. That has been rejected by LM as not being cost-effective. The proposal was to stop the hourly Worcester - Stratford Sunday service alternately at Hartlebury and Blakedown, giving each a train every 2 hours. The Stourbridge Line User Group believes that this could be done as the timetables still allow the same running times as they were when run by Class 150's. The 172's have greater acceleration which means that extra stops could be fitted into the existing schedule. For instance, the extra off-peak Mon-Sat Hagley stop from December is achieved by reducing the wait time at Kidderminster.
Thus Hartlebury will not be getting a Sunday service from December 2014 - but the campaign to get one will continue, with success hopefully in 2015. When you consider that Hartlebury only got off-peak services in December 2013 and evening services in May 2014, a lot has been achieved. If the people of Hartlebury and Stourport support the services they have gained in the past 6 months, then not only is a Sunday service in the future a possibility, but also a half-hourly weekday off-peak service.

Yes, Hartlebury gained 3 M-F evening services and 2 on Sat in each direction from the May timetable.
That's great. Hopefully there's a Sunday service on it's way, even though I can't see it being more than 5 trains a day (as current Blakedown Sunday service)
@Roy, oh yeah, I mistook Hartlebury for Hagley when you mentioned an extra weekday service, lol. I knew what you meant by 2 hourly (2tp2h) ;). I can't imagine people who Hagley station would've been best pleased to lose their direct service to Worcester. Will this mean Hagley will be 3 trains per hour from December in each direction, or will one of the Kidderminster terminators elude Hagley?

@Sh4318 Yes it means 3 tph off-peak Monday to Saturday. Hagley are getting extra stops at xx12 (from 1012 to 1512) southbound, and at xx44 (from 1044 to 1444) northbound. Cheapest anytime ticket Hednesford to Manchester £84.80
Cheapest anytime ticket Rugeley TV to Manchester £24.00
Two stations 10 minutes apart
hence my journey finishing in Rugeley!
I may have mentioned this before but there is a site called BR fares which has an expert mode where you can see how stations are grouped together...

Yes, if the infrastructure on the WCML allows - which sadly it doesn't, and probably will never do. The days of running trains at 140mph in the UK are over after it was possible with the 91+MK4 sets on the ECML a few years ago.

Think the 395s on HS1 do 140 (top speed) and E* is at 186mph - but either way HS1 is relatively self contained and is designed specifically for high speed travel, unlike the ECML/WCML.

What was used on the 934 before 1844-1847 were bought for the 934? Was it B10's? The 34 went eventually in 2008.
From Early 2002 service 34 used Plaxton president's former Sutton lines.
From 2003 34 used Volvo Geminis then scanias 1844-1847 took over January 2008 with the 934 extension to Foley Arms.
1944 - 12A: home to city centre
I forgot how bad the legroom was on the Omnilinks, I thought we were over this when the B6LEs were withdrawn.
There's at least 2 of these on the 12/A & 13/As today.
I thought 4687-4696 were back now?
