Tony,

Jumping the gun here as I know you've only asked for any corrections for 2001-2075 but I can see that there are vehicle histories for 2076-2085 too. This batch of 10 are listed as being new to Quinton (other sites such as WMT2944's Flickr site say the same) but I'm sure they were new to PB, and moved to QN when they were a few months old.

I started secondary school in September 1980 and remember catching these to and from school on the 11. I recall them as along with 7006/7 they were the earliest Metrobuses on the Outer Circle.

Here are a couple of pictures of 2077 and 2083 when nearly new with the black skirts the Mk1s were delivered with, on routes PB 46 and 91 respectively.

Happy to be corrected on this if others know better.

Cheers

Tony

Thanks.

Your return email address didn't work for me to reply
use the old link but remove the space between 'all operators' should work

Tony a few pictures for you to use.
Still unable to access the psv lists.

Tony,

On the front page of the main website, there seems to be a "time machine" with the dates of the "Latest photographs added":

25th April 2020
27th April 2020
28th April 2020
27th April 2020

I know the lockdown is dragging on, but for dates to go backwards, that will make it feel even longer than it is;-)

Some good photos though.

Many thanks

How come metrobus 2185 was based in so many garages in its early years? Was it a promotional vehicle of some sort?

Because of its adverts as pictured. One bus would be painted then keep moving garage to spread the advert around

Cheese

On the page for 2432 there is a picture of 2342 as well as the pic of 2432.

Histories up to 2223 now done

Great photos and garage history info. Please do keep these updates coming.

One minor point on 2137. This one passed to Quinton along with 2138 and 2139 on Dudley's closure on July 1993 (the current history shows it at Dudley from 1989 before being loaned to Bee Line in Sept 1994).
