Spectacular breakdown by Arriva 3002 at Old Square in town tonight at 5pm, driver having switched off on arrival for layover couldn't restart and contacted depot and begun messing with things. 10 minutes later a massive bang, a cloud of blue smoke and oil and water all over the road. The bang and smoke were bad enough to bring 3 Police Officers running across to it from the other side of the roundabout. The driver and his colleague from the bus behind had battery draws engine flaps and all sorts open and pulled out, very lucky they weren't hurt.

Was it the short run to Dudley? As I heard 6775 was on that.

Well if it was a 126E then that kind of gives away that it was to Dudley otherwise I would or specified.

And there are several running boards that feature short workings during morning peak.

6759 has just been towed out of Wolverhampton Bus Station.

6018 dead on Lockhurst Lane, I knoe hazard on is a poor indicator (excuse the pun) but also the blinds were 90% blank, the lights were off and the driver wasn't onboard which suggests it more strongly

Coventry on the city bound side of the A46 underneath the Whitley Jag bridge. 4219 (I think) was parked up in the refuge. Not sure what it was doing there - off route maybe?

Just seen 4219 running out of service down Foleshill Road so it can't have been.

Sorry should have said it was about 10 am. I did wonder if the driver had found a new place for a PNB?
