Don't know whether any West Midlands bus firm would be interested in this:

Ensignbus are advertising Arriva's Wright hybrids HWs for sale in this week's Bus & Coach Buyer magazine.  HW5 (LJ09KRN) is pictured with the following details ...
2009 Wrights hybrid
65 seats dual door can be converted to single door

Latest Wrights hybrid drive ... same as New Routemaster

Brand new battery pack

Brand new cooling pack

Brand new Cummins Euro 5 engine

Body upgraded to Gemini 2

Over £100k just spent on factory upgrade

Very competitively priced.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

I'm sure there's another "Buses for Sale" thread, but I can't seem to find it.

Anyways, anyone after a Streetlite for £20,000. See below lol. No warranty given. Very alarming. Ex Diamond 20978.

Noticed these 7 vehicles listed on Chartwell Bus Sales as low height vehicles. The height on the website says 4.2m.
From Google Maps street view it says the bridge in Erdington on Summer Road is 4.3m. So does that mean these double deckers would fit under that bridge?

I was wandering if they fit under it, as never realised any sort of double decker would go under that low bridge before?

If there was some sort of double decker that goes under some of the low bridges, I would have thought it would be good for passengers and provide extra capacity on those routes/allow people to keep apart with COVID though.

Aren't they the outstanding Streetdecks for Arriva Yorkshire? They sure look like them.....
Don't judge me until you've walked in my size ten shoes.

The Metroriders used to be used on the 28, and I'm sure they took a similar route in Erdington.

Not necessarily as reduced height means reduced headroom. I find it difficult walking along the top deck of low height buses.

When I lived in Canada, I had to duck down at least six inches to stand up on the top deck. It was literally a pain in the neck!
