Anyone been through Bearwood today? Have the roadworks started yet?

I went through Bearwood twice this morning Matt (07:50 & 09:45 to be exact) and both of my buses got through without any problem and no they haven't started yet :)
60 Birmingham - Cranes Park

73 Solihull - Heartlands Hospital
X1 Birmingham - Coventry
X2 Birmingham - Solihull Station
A10 Solihull - Cranes Park / Chelmsley Wood

Where are the roadworks planned?
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
Local Routes: 21, 89, 48/A, 12/A, 54/A
Semi-local routes: 80, 87

There's a couple of signs and a few cones around but nothing to speak of as yet. It says 28 weeks from 10/02/14. I think they're filling in the subway, replacing the traffic lights and putting pedestrian crossings in. I'm sure they'll find one or two other things to mess with too......

The road won't be closed fully, but over the course of the works there will be lane closures, which will cause the disruption.

HC2 was running 10 mins late this morning - a sign the works have started, perhaps?

Yes, they've started now. Today and yesterday there has been a lane closed on the side heading out of Birmingham, starting just before the lights at Bearwood and going up to the underpass at Quinton. I wasn't out on Tuesday but on Monday it was just by the Toby Carvery that had a lane blocked off.
