I remember in one of the clips seeing an old bus with '126' on the back; did the 126 ever go through Smethwick, or was it a different route back then? (I know Bearwood is in Smethwick, but didn't look like the Hagley Road)

I have timetable books from 1959 and 1973, so either side of the period in question. Just checked and the 126 (and 125) ran the same route as now down the Hagley Road.

Anyone notice the Leyland Olympian on HIGNFY last week (Ep3 - the one that Kent Police had a complaint about)

I remember being forced to watch this on Sunday evenings, the most interesting thing used to be when you saw WYPTE then Yorkshire Rider Atlanteans!

I have to agree, it was a good comedy, with views of buses in some episodes being an extra bonus!
