Dundee's 9 new ADL E400H are also due in service during March and are destined to operate / be branded for route 5, article on NXD website including an artists impression showing the livery/branding

Xplore Dundee (formerly Travel Dundee and National Express Dundee) was acquired from National Express by the McGills Group at the end of 2020.

I believe the 5 may be operated by a mixture of B10L/B10BLE with some peak workings operated by Geminis or even Presidents 4123/4 do put in the occasional appearance.

At last count the Hybrids were expected to boost the double decker contingent at Dundee, and are therefore expected to replace further P/R reg B10L's in the 7122-7147 range

I understand that Dundee may also be expecting a further 2 or 3 Presidents from B'ham in the next couple of months to allow for the withdrawal of the remaining step entry Volvo Olympians. ex TWM private hire 3125 & 3126 N125/6YRM appear to have finally been withdrawn for good

I  was in Dundee last Summer and seem to remember that most of the 5's were double deck.

The 5 is Gemini operated, but everything else Winston says is factually correct!

We are due 3 more of your Presidents, and B10Ls will be withdrawn in place of the Hybrids.

A network review is due end of may so I suspect a B10L or two maybe kept pending this, the rest heading south!?

All the other B10L withdrawn in the last 12 months or so for Dundee have gone direct to a local scrapman, can't see NXWM taking them in to reserve, it already has a decent collection of its own gathering dust/rotting.

Thanks for the correction on the 5 being Gemini operated, I knew some worked the 5 but didn't realize it was full decker operated these days. Is there any indication which route will benefit from the increase in double deckers once the Geminis are displaced from the 5?

The St Mary's (1A/1B) mainly and Kirkton (18/19)

Hi Lynx1103,

I don't keep a record of withdrawal dates, but only ten of that batch remain in service in Dundee as follows:

7127-9, 7138, 7144-8 & 7151

7146 is currently parked up in Dock St depot with a red sticker 'do not move' so that could also now be withdrawn making 9 left.

7146 is not withdrawn because it has been out in service today from 0520 and will continue until 2348!

Here are withdrawn dates
