He's probably right, given the fact that a standard E400 went the other way. By the "any route that uses double deckers" logic the standard E400 would've sufficed?
Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21, 46, 76.
Localish Routes: 18, 23, X22.

Interesting they sent 4859 instead of 4847/4849. Could that mean BC will get more of that 4843 - 4862 batch eventually.
Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

I'm sure the decision maker will have had a fully justified and sensible rationale.

Nobody is suggesting otherwise?

It feels inevitable that eventually BC will have all of the E40Ds ;)

Why do people assume that whole batches will transfer just because one bus has? Just curious.

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

While I do try to keep numbers together buses have to be selected for transfer when they have to be 'on the road', not defective obviously, have decent lengths MoTs unless the receiving garage agrees otherwise, and swaps between garages generally tend to try to match inspection dates if possible

ie not as easy as it seems!

Keeping the number of vehicle  types down is another consideration, Tony mentioned long a go, spare part provisions etc, type training,  so in my case unless i change garage i,ll never  get to drive a B7RLE, all i can see arriving at WB  are E40D's 200/400 mmc's. so getting rid of gemnis/tridents will be  2 less headaches in a way, Is AG the only garage not to operate the E40D.
May be something new for C.C 50/82/87

Yes, AG is the only garage never to have standard E400s, which is another headache in it's own as it restricts what vehicles can replace their Geminis.

WB will get vehicles from PB when their electrics go into service to replace their Geminis, not sure which yet.

5 streetdecks will most likely stay at walsall has they have the hydroliners.

With PB getting the first batch of electrics (possibly for the Sutton lines WB will probably get the 4799-815/17-29 batch (purely speculation as it's unknown how many electric they'll get)
