 The 54a will be doing part of the current diamond 55 route between the Queens Head and the George

So is the 55 being withdrawn and  replaced by the 54A?

The 55 is being completely withdrawn and as far as I know the 54a is only covering the Queens Head to The George.
The 54a will run from West Brom the same as the 54, when we get to Thimblemill Road the 54 will turn up William Road whilst the 54a will continue straight up to the Queens Head

Yes, the decision has been made to make the old 445 even more convoluted

If diamond are losing the Sunday 5 does that mean NX is getting it back or is the end of the 5 on Sunday

No mention of it so i'd take it as the Sunday service is being axed.

The Sunday service on this route is completely withdrawn, with no replacement.

Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21, 46, 76.
Localish Routes: 18, 23, X22.

What website?

Only 27 listed there is the Maypole to Harborne service, which is still being run by NX Bus.

It's referring to the 36 service no longer being operated by NX, not the 27.
