Just been thinking, which NXWM route is the worst for vandalism, antisocial behaviour etc?

I know there's been a few big improvements over the past couple of years, with CCTV, Operation Safer Travel etc...

BU07 LGO

The soho road routes (74,75,79)

richie

I would also say soho rd services

winston

I would have thought the 8A/8C must also be up there, as that runs through some rougher Inner City areas

The 79 Doesn't even go down the Soho Road anymore and its still a bad route. (Another new branding idea "We DON'T Go To Birmingham Anymore!" ;D)
The 3 worst in Wolves are 59 79 529.
Worst one I've been on I think is the Inner Circle 8 Particulally scary round Sparbrook :o

If the Soho Road services were single deck, they wouldn't be a problem. The 6 is now single deck and it is fine. It was on the same level as the Soho Road services before, with all the Tridents smelling of weed.

Ash

The Soho road used to be single deck between 1998-2002 before the tridents for the 79, When west brom ran the routes the 74 used branded mercs, the 79 used branded mercs and the 78 used to see b6le's when it went to Wednesbury. There was also no or very few 74E journeys but the single decks used to cope although were rammed most of the times and never had cctv installed well most of them didnt

The Soho road routes are awful, I agree.

I also feel extremely unsafe on the 49/A through Hawkesley/Pool Farm/Druids Heath, even in the middle of the day.

2, 3, 74, 75, 80, 82, 87
What are the 14 and 17 like?

Why does everyone think the 74/75 are the worst for vandalism?

West Bromwich buses are nowhere near as badly damaged as some Birmingham garage buses

Never had a problem on the 49, 82 or 87...

74/75 Don't look brilliant though at times.

In my post relating to the 79 59 529 I was referring to ticket fraud, smoking and use of substances aswell as a basic lack of common sense and consideration for others passengers some of the users of these routes lack.
As for my trip on the 8 that was just like 'don't look at anyone, look out the window' type scenario

hmmmmm. I think that is on more impression of the areas than the actual routes. The one advantage the 74/75 have is the buses are regularly full so idiots don't get the top deck to themselves as much as some other routes.

My job involves going out and catching fare dodgers/anti-social behaviour so I tend to see, or here from others in my job which are the worst areas

The 6 has seen a lot fare dodging of recent times. Maybe something to do with being single deck. The 11 still has a lot of fare dodging however, especially since a lot of them park up in Acocks Green village whilst the driver visits the public toilet and switches the bus off full of passengers.
