The prospect of using their 'new' 172 units on the Marylebone to Sratford on Avon Services appears to be operational from DEC. There are now 3 booked diagrams on weekdays from M/le bone to S.O.A..06.45am MB to SOA (arr 08.56am) and return to MB at 09.19am, the 12.18pm dep from MB to SOA (arr 14.18pm,) and returns at 14.36pm to MB. this service will pass the (northbound) 15.18pm service from MB to SOA (arr17.21pm). This service is obviously a different unit and returns at 17.34pm for Marylebone (arr 19.41) and, again, will pass the LAST (northbound) service from M/bone (18.18pm) which is booked for TWO UNITS and arr SOA at 20.17pm, returning to Marylebone at 20.51pm. There are NO booked diagrams for these new units to Snow Hill on weekdays, There is However, an Additional Saturday only service to Marylebone from SH at 10.12am to add to the present 09.12 service. The earlier service is booked to attach to a 4 car 168 and the later service to a 3 car 168.unit. This later 172 unit is then used for the ONE (and only) SAT diagram for a 172 unit to SOA- (dep from M/bone at 13.03pm  (arr SOA at 15.18pm). Thus it should be possible to capture a photo of both chiltern and LM 172 units in one shot. fingers crossed :)
Mind the Gap.....?:-)
