Where do you get 125mph from? HS2 is being built for a vast increase in speed and frequency

My point is that the existing service runs, or did pre-Covid, at 125mph and every twenty minutes - no other HS line has replaced services running at that speed or frequency, and few if any actually offer frequencies anything like that,  so any increase in traffic is likely to turn out complete fantasy .

There are no two ways about it - the whole misbegotten scheme should by dropped.

And that's before the combined effects of Covid and Avanti incompetence persuaded people they don't need to travel anyway.

Confirmed by the companies house website. Interestingly(?) one of the new directors appears to be a director of the Bluebell Railway.

I would guess that NX have their own database but Diamond take their information from the PTE one?

According to RTT they ran on Friday although didn't appear to be on VT website . Yesterday they were in RTT but appear to have not run.

And just how do you think any other builder could get vehicles designed, built and passed for service any quicker?

Surely they will be charged overnight and unaffected?

One Eminence coach seemed to accomodate all the passenger on the train I got off at Rugby, most passengers seemed to opt to catch a train towards Birmingham. possibly because journey planners made that quicker. Two other coaches were there, one of which late arrived at Stafford, where another Eminence coach was working south.

D&G doing Crewe-Stafford rail replacement with Versa.s - I hope this is sufficient as Avanti hve made no provision for West Midlands-Scotland passengers on the day before people are back at school.

The new branding on the electrics looks very good initially, but then the vinyl vandals get to work. The offside advert covers most of the sky blue strip. Couple of inches at the top of the vehicle remain visible and not much more below the advert. As for those legs and boots what's that all about again? Thought that fetish had been dispensed with by NX. Sadly EO38 ends up losing its good looks!

Surely the nonsense is putting the stripe there in the first place when it is clearly going to be covered by adverts.

Perhaps not impressed with the farce at Avanti West Coast?
