I see another two routes have started today, 103 replacing the missing bit of D&G 14 between Eccleshall and Stone and 104 between Stone and Barlaston.

Whatever the ownership or lease arrangements, vehicle to machine correlation will surely be the responsibility of the operator, or even individual drivers when logging on to their machines?

Not bus related, but my sister has to do shifts where she works. (Office bound for one of the 3 emergency services!)

How she copes with those, god knows.

From memory, 9 till 5, 10 till 6, 2 till 11 & overnights 10 till 7, obviously with the rest days inbetween.

I've done 6am onwards very occasionally.

Last time was a Saturday morning over Great Bridge.

Very surreal waiting for a 11 at half five in the morning & seeing the likes of Samras in Walsall still busy!

When I worked shifts there'd have been a riot if the roster included a rest day between 06.00 finish and 14.00 start.

Why did Nx not reduce the journey times for the likes of the 4,4H and 4M. Anybody with a brain travelling on this route would use diamond considering they are running a 10 minute frequency service with incredibly fast running time?

Do you seriously think any normal passenger *ever* lets a bus go, unless they happen to have an operator specific ticket?

It has also spent some time with Bakerbus so may have appeared in Stafford before.

bustimes is consistently showing Olympian 96 on the 808 - anyone know if that's right, or has there been a ticket machine swop?

Buses vice trains at Coventry Arena are now stopping at the bus station - last week they were apparently not serving Coventry Arena at all in the evening.

VA increased to 25 in this week's N&P.

Did not they move into the area because they saw franchising as an opportunity.
At the time I thought it was a bad idea as whatever the posturing First and Stagecoach would stitch up the tendering, but now First is much less of a force perhaps not?

Seems an odd thing to put - who else is likely to do it other than Select or D&G? Perhaps they are hoping that getting enquiries from the public will chivvy Staffordshire CC along?
