4808's front LEDs are showing dead pixels (on the left side), it's currently on the 65 to ry Common

4690's rear display is stuck on:
NOT IN
SERVICE

7537's upper saloon LCD screen is showing white and black blobs everywhere, with only a small part of the screen showing the picture, the next stop displays are also flickering when the next stop is displayed

The other day I saw a platinum on the 16 that alternated between:
16 Hamstead

and:
16 Hamstead
via Hockley

All of the BC platinums seem to have the new format on their rear displays, apart from 6841, 7522 - which displays don't work, 6873 - which doesn't have a rear display and 6879 - which, last time I checked, was using the old format

Quote from: 2900 on January 09, 2024, 06:08:04 PMDrivers rumours , i heard the other day the 11 A/C could be rerouted from Bearwood to Dudley Rd using the currrent 82 route, so the 11 can serve the New Midland hospital on Grove lane, the 87 will also be rerouted towards the hospital as well, services will actually be going on hospital grounds.  The 82 could be rerouted down the 11 route section sandon rd city rd to summerfield park. We shall see what transpires
Wait, that would leave the burden solely on the 87 between the Hospital and Birmingham

Midland Metro / Re: General Metro Thread
January 10, 2024, 03:56:47 PM
What's going on with the metro? There's been a tram stuck in the middle of Suffolk Street Queensway (by the traffic lights) with police vehicles on either side for a while now

6920 has the part of the red line (of the generic platinum branding) that goes across the nearside of the bus, just below the upper saloon windows, but it doesn't go across the bus.

This photo should help (can be seen near the rear of the vehicle) https://flic.kr/p/2owxufu

Any possibility of an 89 rerouting? It wouldn't be too difficult, from Cape Hill to Windmill Lane to Grove Lane to Cape Hill (by McDonalds) then left onto Shireland Road.

Quote from: Stu on January 09, 2024, 08:09:00 PMThat service originated from Holyhead, I don't know how that one usually works:
https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:P64359/2024-01-09/detailed

The services that originate in Aberystwyth/Pwllheli are usually 4 coaches, joining together at Machynlleth.

If it's a service to both Aberystwyth and Pwllheli, an additional 158 will be coupled up at Shrewsbury for when the services would split at Machynlleth.

Occasionally, a 150 or (one or two) 153s deputise for a missing 158 between Birmingham International and Shrewsbury, but the Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth/Pwllheli leg of the trip will always be 158 due to them only being compatible with the EMRTS signalling equipment - of course this will change this year when the 197s are made compatible and take over such duties

In the evening (and Sundays) the 48 interworks with the 89, so Geminis at this time aren't particularly unusual

Quote from: BBS on January 04, 2024, 12:26:44 AMI'm sure the 5 always use to have Geminis back before the south Birmingham change happened? What way did the 5 take before the changes?
Before the bridge restrictions they did, with the restrictions in place, the 5 was allocated ALX400s, then platinums and standard spec E400MMCs

The far side of 6868 (by where the Charge into City 🔌 vinyl is inscribed) looks like it got into a fight with the side of the lorry and lost, the panel is visibly dented

4757's rear LEDs are no longer working

Quote from: Roy on January 01, 2024, 10:42:40 AMI don't know if there's been a change of plan but WMT told stakeholders three months ago that the initial route in the West Midlands to get the 730/0s would be Walsall to Wolverhampton via New Street.
It'll be nice to see some new stock on the Stour Valley. I can't help but feel like we get spoilt. Hopefully they're treated better than the 350s currently do, they're a wastebin and foot rest on this particular route

6821's rear LEDs is the latest to display the dead pixel in the top left corner and nothing else. It's on the 16
