National Express West Midlands / destination blinds
October 14, 2012, 06:46:03 PM
Can anyone in the know explain what is involved in reprogramming digital blinds..........on the face of it it would appear an enormous task to change more than 100 buses blinds overnight as will be required at West Bromwich garage for the Sandwell review..........or am I missing something?

I apologise if I am being a pain, but can I please ask Tony when he has the time (do you ever ) if he can update and re-list the garages and outstations list at the beginning of the Arriva Midlands fleet list ?
Thanks.

This question is for Tony..........is there any degree of autonomy at Coventry,or is it just an ordinary garage like the others?

Can anyone (perhaps Tony ) tell me if Bordesley is a fully fledged garage with traffic and engineering staff etc or is it an outstation or overflow of Birmingham Central, similarly Pensnett of West Bromwich.

The Archive / Rotala in the West Midlands

Would it not show more enterprise if the Rotala Group operated a few new services instead of merely competing on those of other operators and on tendered services.
Can any members think of any routes which Rotala have pioneered.
Companies like this do not really deserve to prosper.

Stagecoach / stagecoach
April 15, 2012, 12:00:31 PM
Looking at the headings in the forum, the only one without an entry is Stagecoach.
Perhaps I can give my own views and hope to receive the views of other members.
Stagecoach seem to me to be the best run, most efficient and most interesting of all the bus companies. There is a regular influx of new buses, good publicity, and clean modern appearance to the fleet.A complete contrast in fact to the West Midlands biggest operator.I for one very much regret that the once mooted takeover of NXWM never happened, because I believe the West Midland public would now be getting a much better service.
Perhaps some other group members, such as those in Coventry,Nuneaton,Leamington etc could give their views and, who knows, I may have to remove my rose-tinted glasses.
