Title: West Midlands M6 Sightings
Post by: ade on August 29, 2017, 11:27:16 PM
Noted today earlier an all electric bus on a lowloader in olive green heading North. Heading South were 2 KMB Wright bodies Hong Kong standard deckers. No fleet numbers or Hong Kong registration plates. Anyone know any info on these?

Seen a 900 branded Metrobus on the M5 on Monday. About 17:00 heading South near Bromsgrove I think, possibly further South.

Would have been that Mk2a that's been preserved.

I did spot 2 E400MMC 17 plates (trade plates)  on M6 southbound (Bescot) yesterday whilst photographing trucks. One in blue/grey if I remember.

Noted on suspended tow just before lunch time today heading north on the M5 was an ex-Lothian & Thamesdown d/d. Did it venture north on the M6 ?? If so did anyone see it or are able to identify it please ??   It was either SN51AYD or AYO.  :-\  [ It may of course have taken the M42 depending on its destination. ]. Cheers. ANDREW.

Annoyingly, Thamesdown have both AYD and AYO so could have been either of them! AYD is marked as withdrawn on Thamesdown's fleetlist so may have been that one.

Cheers for that , on checking back in time , I appear to have seen both vehicles at some time - Edinburgh I guess ,so the precise i/d is not quite so much of an issue now !  :D  I tend to forget that even with the bus carrying the "new style" reg plates , this vehicle is in fact 16 years old.  ;D

London United VH45238 on trade plates being delivered to London already with 18 destination blinds fitted. Seen seen leaving Warwick services on M40. Presume it had been on M6 earlier!
