Title: EasyBus/EasyCoach
Post by: 2206 on August 14, 2017, 10:21:52 PM
Does anyone know what they are now using on the 101, following them wining the tender from Central Buses? Also does anyone know what they will be using on the 436 and X70 from September.
Have they ever operated any normal bus services before, from what I can see they previously just had the Telford to Manchester Airport, Airport Transfer service?

Just seen that they've got MX05EKZ, does anyone know if they will be getting any other buses, if so which ones?

A franchisee from Shrewsbury, presumably the operator of the Telford to Manchester Airport service, operates the 64: Llangollen to Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog service, a former GHA route.
The two buses I have seen are :

I have never seen town service 28 and it is alledged that it hasn't run at all in Dec - its high time that the TCs started banning anyone involved with a service being discontinued without notice indefinitely.

I saw one 436 leave 12 minutes late while the driver was chatting to the man on the incoming working, so not a lot acheived by inserting an extra bus there.

Bookings for the Airport service after that date come up with "not enough seats available on this departure".
;
I normally ignore bread vans, but would have grabbed a shot in Chester the other day had I known it might be the last opportunity.

So, what happens with the 101 on and from Monday 10th September?

This service is subsidised by Shropshire Council.  Given the topography of Bridgnorth, you can see there is a need for the service as to get from Low Town to High Town is a walk up-hill.

There needs to be something put in place quite quickly.

Don't a lot of the Arriva services already cover between Low Town and High Town? I'm not from the area myself and only visited once a couple of months ago but was under the assumption that this was the case.

Also, Council may decide not to continue to subsidise it; they've clearly got their minds on other "useful" projects. :/
