So... What would your Ideal Christmas present be from Santa Tony this year? (keep it clean!!)...My favourite ? If he can arrange for 7031 to be on the 66 and come past my house around 2'o'clock (ish) some time soon..  I might send him a card :) :)......
Mind the Gap.....?:-)

I would love for the 21 Spectras to stay at WN after the new hybrids come.

They've been appearing on my local route the 59 lots recently, there's 3 on there today.

Green Bus Metrobus E 989 VUK back where it belongs on the 558!

In an unrealistic world. To find the money to buy and preserve 3116 or any Metrobus of ours that hasn't gone to the scrapman.

In a realistic world to travel on as much of the fleet as possible, only around 590 to go as it stands so not too ambitious :D

TinnedPeaches

Ideally? Enough money to buy and restore a few late 1970s/1980s coaches. Top of the list being a Ford R1114/Plaxton Supreme IV, a DAF/Jonckheere Jubilee and (of course) a Volvo B10M/Van Hool Alizee. I'm not picky...much!

That's good to know because I love travelling on them and hope they're around for a bit longer. E462 SON always seems to be on the last 64 journey which is fab.

the 59 is my local route aswell. I live towards the wednesfield end of the route. i have noticed the spectras on the 59 frequently. I've also noticed my favourite bus 4609 keeps appearing on the 59 although it has been repainted and lost it's return branding.

Since its repaint, I've not been on 4609 or even seen it.
I'm glad they've stopped putting singles on there so much. I like to travel on the 0405Ns, but they really aren't suitable for route 59.

There isn't room for both tridents and spectras aat Wn when the spectras come. I can't see the transbus tridents leaving PL garage

It now seems likely that the Spectras will survive the arrival of the Hybrids and stay in service for another year or so.  If they do, a possible scenario for WN is as follows :-

Jan 2013 - Receive 21 new Enviro 400H's.  Transfer the 13 oldest Tridents to Birmingham depots (4135, 4305-12/20/21/84/85) to meet emission targets in Birmingham City Centre.  Withdraw the remaining 6 Excels.  Either transfer 2 Mercs or withdraw 2 Solos.  This would give WN an additional 8 double deckers in place of single deckers and end the use of single deckers on routes such as the 1, 59, 126, 255, 529.

Late 2013 or 2014.  Withdraw the 21 Spectras and replace them with 21 newer double deckers (either Tridents or Enviro 400's cascaded in).

4320/4321 > Coventry (Replacing 2 Unrefurbished R or S Reg Mercs and Keeping 4319-4322 Together)
4384/4385 > Yardley Wood (Keeping 4370-4389 Together)

72/72A Solihull Station - Chelmsley Wood
73 Solihull - Heartlands Hospital

Why do BC, CV and YW need extra buses?

I was only suggesting it to keep numbers together that's all

Birmingham garages don't need any more Euro 3+ double deckers to meet the forthcoming emission zone, with the October double deck transfers (as posted on the forum) all double deck routes entering the City Centre will be compliant, BC Presidents during October are going to AG & YW + 2 have gone to Dundee. The only issue may still be WB Mercs on the Dudley Rd services entering the City Centre, however allocations may change after the 28th Oct (Sandwell Review), then that issue may also be resolved

For Christmas........ I'd like Scania N113/Alexander RH 3225 H225LOM preserved in BCT heritage livery, just a minor issue of putting its roof back on & removing offside door though.....

Like so.....

I would love to see that :) but as you say Winston it's the door and roof that's the issue
