Volant are selling what it looks like the buses stored at Shady Lane. (B10L's, Excels)

The ad here - http://volantpvs.co.uk/sales/?page=3

I don't know what the double deckers are though, unless Volant are classing the ex Abellio Tridents as NXWM.

They have been advertised for sale through Volant for a good a few months now, unless I'm mistaken Volant are yet to make a sale

Volant also have the 10 x Merc 0405GN artics for sale, those are stored at their premises

If anyone's interested, I came across the Flickr site below which has photos of some of the residents of Shady Lane

3088 was on evilbay recently at an asking price of two grand, it was hoped to go as a preservation piece, whether the bid is still open I dont know but hopefully it wont be sold for baked bean tins just yet

from reading the reports from tony, and forum messages, iirc the 10 mb artics have been returned, some heading north. a lot of excels suprisingly l960s have been reported heading north too. i would assume most have met their maker. weird newer buses go for scrap, when older b6s have replaced them.  im suprised that the older b10ls and b6s have been kept, even if reserve. i know theres the book value etc, and refurb situation, but i do find it weird but interesting that sometimes older buses soldier on, while their newer counterparts become tins. also was strange how newer metros didnt last as long as the y,a,b, and c reg ones

Metrobus Mk2 2436-2974 has a complete rebuild and refurbishment
By Marshalls Cambridge between 1994-1999.
Most buses on this type did survive for further use.
But 30xx metros majority went to scrap. They did not received a detailed refurb
As earlier examples.

Also the large influx of low floor buses (and the need to have such buses) during the 2000s meant that the later Metros had no chance of surviving as long - other wise the F/G reg ones would have still been in service in 2017. Some of the Y Reg examples lasted 16 years after the rebuild showing just how good they were for WMT/TWM.
