Thurmaston Solo 2523 was on the 104 today. I know the 104 does seem to be a dumping ground for most type of Thurmaston bus, but I've never seen a Solo on there before

It's supposed to operated by some of the ex London Alx400's and a white pulsar (9001).
Solos shouldn't really be on it as it's a busy service.

3606 was this morning on Pye Green Circulars and later on moved onto 32, 2345 S345YOG on 31

I know in visits to Leicester I've had I've seen all sorts on 104, P/RUL darts (before they left) 39**volvos, alx400 deckers and the 06/56 plate gemminis....... What do the FJ06*** commanders operate and what are the remaining 52 plate commanders left at Thurmaston?

stuartn

You do still get the odd 06/56 plate gemini and an eclipse now and then on the 104 but it's mostly deckers.

The FJ06 plate commanders are mainly on the 53/53a but do crop up on the 29/29a or 126/127, we only have 3706 of the 52 plates left in Leicester now.

Bob

3706 was supposed to be moved to cannock the same time as the other two.  If its in as bad a state as 3705 they can keep it ! 3707 isnt too bad though,  being a refurbed one

There were 4 at !east  DAF deckers (all S-JUAs), 9001, and the Solo on there yesterday. They seemed to be running late as well as quite a few came in pairs

It's always running late or in bunches but the reduction to every 12 minutes was supposed to help it out, if anything it's made it worse, the service needs an additional bus adding and longer running time.

2345 on the 68 today

Thats not unusual lol

First time i've seen 2345 on the 68! Not many full length Plaxton Pointer Darts at Cannock are there though?

Although i suppose apart from the new 63 plates NOTHING at Cannock is rare

Bob

Im on 2345 now. Its knackered.  The paints come off half the handrails as well. Im sure its the one that was re engined with a unit off a knackered v-kda MPD. It needs to go on a one way trip to the scrapman. It reeks of diesel as well.  So much for improving their image ahaha

It has been replaced by 2732 (BU03 HRE)

Must've broke down then...as is to be expected for most of cannock's fleet.  I was on w108 ewu earlier it sounds AWFUL ! Worse than W109 and thats saying something!  None of nx's volvos sound anything like as bad as arrivas. They seem incapable of maintaining them properly.  108 has got terrible screeching brakes as well :-(. Its a shame cos properly looked after theyd be great buses

It's probably the cooling fan, B10BLEs' fans tend to be very loud, never noticed it as such in other forms of the B10
