I feel that the 3 min termination time in Coventry is extremely unrealistic for the X18. It works out to be a 5 and a half hour round trip meaning a PVR of around 11. I am impressed by the new Sunday service direct from Coventry to Stratford however the Peak Journeys are practically no existent. Many people want to go to work and for people with longer distance commutes from Coventry to Stratford for example will not be served in the Peak period in the morning whatsoever and a poor service in the PM peak. This will not attract passengers who would you use it daily. Whether my thoughts are right, I guess is yet to be seen...

Leamington/Stratford routes aren't my strong point, but I would have thought that, unless it's been given a lot more running time, that 3 minutes layover certainly won't be enough. But saying that, all these changes are planned by people in Northampton who have no clue of how Warwickshire routes actually operate, because they've never witnessed it.

For example, when Nuneaton's 10 was extended to Fosse Park, I knew about it before the local management did and they outright called me a liar and furiously denied it was happening, which shows just how involved they were in it when it then did happen. The 55/56/57 now have way too much running time between Bedworth and Coventry, but yet the Sunday 56 still has so little that it's been up to 40 minutes late for me recently!

I suspect that the peak service will draw some complains on any that are particularly busy for the distance - not being too familiar, I'm not sure how many that might be (if any), but I would suspect (I've not cross referenced to check) that there would be an X17 with a pretty good connection time in Leamington, or even the new X68 service.

I agree with you on the Sunday through service, it's nice to finally be able to travel straight through without the long wait in Leamo! And handy for others wanting a Sunday day out in Stratford this summer!

I've not had a full look over the changes yet so can't comment much else just yet.

The X68 and 68 will interwork. It will be ran by 6 vehicles all together.
For example, the 08:35 departure from Trinity Street will be the 14:40 departure from Trinity Street.

All they need now is one from Nuneaton and/or Bedworth, that'll make a lot of the jobless people happy!

The X17 timetable is very interesting indeed... It will extend every hour to Stratford Via Chase Meadow and 1 round trip to Stratford will be 2 hours! However, there is only 3 min turnaround at Stratford!!!
Stagecoach is bound to face reliability problems with this and the X18 timetables as they just don't seem realistic! The 8 min gap at Warwick should be spread more freely at Stratford, say 3 mins at Warwick and 8 mins at Stratford instead.

The timetable is on the website but I can't access it as it apparently "doesn't exist"

10:10 18 Coventry to Evesham was 28 branded Enviro 15673 showing X18 Stratford for Evesham.
11:10 18 was gold 47518!

Bus stop and timetable outside museum have been changed, not that it  gives a clue of the travel opportunities available.

Contrary to what I previously said the timetable leaflet does advertise the introduction of this service on Sunday in a corporate orange blob on the cover!

I was just peering down at that, trying to work out what it was on, just as you took the photo! - Had the view been a little higher, I'd have been visible :P

The 86 behind seemed to be having a bit of bother with a disabled passenger, from what I could work out, it seemed to be about the stop it was at as she was pointing to some kind of print out and the driver was showing her his running card.

18103 arrived in the City on the X18 with no blinds working/programmed, it had X18 very very faintly scribbled onto a bit of paper in the window. There was in fact 3 buses with issues in the one place, as a Johnsons E200 joined the no blinds club, and NXC 4993 had a faulty driver seat.
